  1. Thank you for your answer, so if Ti mid diaphragm will not make a big difference, do you know about the Bob Crites mid diagphram? Would it be better choice? I would like to purchase parts because I want to do the soldering myself Which parts do I need and which brand? I read somewhere it is said "the crossover is the heart and the brain of the speaker, if the parts are high quality, the sound could be much better." Is it right? @wvu80: Thank you, I guess I will do the Dynamat because it's easier to remove though obviously it is more costly than silicon.
  2. Hello, I decide to upgrade my Chorus 2 and I have some questions. I hope you can share your experience to help me. - Midrange diaphragm: ****Ti mid diaphragm : I searched around the forum. Some people like the Ti, some don't. So the only way to know is to try it out. ****Bob Crites mid diaphragm: I found little information about this : is it different (or better) than the stock? -Crossover: my Chorus 2 is from 1990, so I guess it's time to replace the crossover. I intend to buy the kit and do the soldering myself (I just know the very basic soldering). Which capacitors and other parts do I need to buy? Which brand is the good one? (I learned that Bob Crites use Sonicaps but still wonder if there are any better choices?) - With the advice from Moray James, I plan to put the Dynamat on the drivers. However, I don't know exactly how to do this , where to put them, is there ? How much dynamat do I need for a pair of Chorus 2. I have some pictures found on Internet about using Dynamat with horns, I don't know which is the right one. Thank you for your help! P.S: I usually listen to vocal, jazz, classical. I listen at low level . I like the natural sound. So please kindly suggest the components for that taste . Thank you very much!
  3. I'm just curious how the following pairs of speakers different? -Chorus 2 with Ti tweeter VS La Scala (stock) -Chorus 2 with Ti tweeter and Ti mid VS La Scala (stock) Does anybody have made A/B comparison? Thank you!
  4. Thank you everyone for your advice. If I just change the mid diaphragm without changing the crossover, the would overlapped frequencies cause a noticeable problem?
  5. Hi, I have a pair of Chorus 2 and have upgraded the original tweeter with Titanium ones, I am very happy with the result and now I want to do the same with the midrange. .I check the specs of Chorus 2 and learned that the midrange driver is K61. Then I checked Simply Speakers website and only found Ti midrange for K52 and K53. Do you know where else I can find a pair of diaphragm for K61? Is Simply Speakers the only (and the best) source to buy Ti midrange diaphragms? I read some threads about Ti diaphragm, some advised to buy Ti diaphragms from Klipsch. Is there any difference between the ones from Simply Speakers and those from Klipsch? Thank you!
  6. Thank you everyone for your concern. I have installed them. The first impression is that the sound especially guitar is more sparkling. The vocal seems to be a little more detailed. I heard that it takes 50 hours for the tweeters to break in. I guess I need more time to tell how much the improvements is. However, so far, I am very happy with the result. Thank you everyone again for helping me upgrade the tweeters. Cheers, Huy.
  7. I have just received it today, I will install it tonight I have quick question, please look at the picture, should I remove the light yellow paper before installation? Thanks!
  8. Hi, I am going to upgrade Crites Titanium Tweeters for my Klipsch Chorus 2. I tried to open the tweeters to see before I order the Titanium tweeters . I began with remove 4 screws on the front. Then... I don't know what to do next. Here is the picture of how 'far' I can go and please show me what to do next. Thank you!
  9. Thank you absolve2525, right now, I am enjoying it A LOT already. For sure, I will try Crites Ti tweeter diaphragms.
  10. Thank you everyone for your congratulation, I really enjoy it! I really love the sound stage, it has immerses me in the music. So overwhelmed! When I have more budget for audio, I will find a tube amp for it because I found the vocal on Chorus is not as detailed and acoustic as Kef reference 101 (I am sorry but it is 'true' in my audio 'system' and my ears ) . Perhaps the amplifier (McIntosh 2 50 ) is not suitable for Chorus 2, I guess?
