when will the horn sub be ready for the Forte IV?

I inherited a pair of Forte 1s from my father who passed in 2000. Replaced the crossovers with new Crites crossovers, added titanium tweeter diaphragms and then installed Dave As tweeters. They sounded very good and I loved them as my mains for many years. This last year I bought a new pair of Forte IVs and made my Forte1s my rear surrounds. I have placed the Forte IVs where my Forte 1s used to be and in my room with the rest of my system the IVs sound better in every way than my Forte 1s ever sounded. Sound stage, bass, midrange, mid bass — all better to my ears than the 1s. I don’t understand how people could prefer the Forte 1s over the 4s. Yes the 4s cost more. My dads 1s were $1000 back in 1986. I paid $3200 for the Forte IVs but I think they are worth every penny.

This is the kind of feedback I’m looking for. My Forte IVs were purchased from Paducah and priced well below the $5,000 list retail price. A stock and arrived on pallet in perfect condition. Do these very expensive sound much better than my much less expensive heritage Horns?

I won’t be going Magico if my Tube Integrated has to go. I love my current system and don’t want to change thinking I will enjoy something different as if different is better.

I love my Forte 1s and my Forte IVs and am only curious about high end Magico, Wilson, Tannoy, Focal etc. Its just a curiosity. Nothing more. I enjoy the Forte IVs very much and feel Id miss the dynamics if I ever switched them out for less efficient speakers. It is very easy to feel addicted to the sound of Klipsch Heritage efficiency.

I assume you are right on this Shakey but id love to try some super high end speakers like Focal Sopra of Magico A5s etc - just to hear against my Forte IVs

I know the magico lists for near $28,000 and the Forte IVs list for $5,000 but I would like to know if anyone has heard both speakers. There are some Magico A5s for sale locally for under $20,000

Has anyone compared the sound of the Forte IV versus Magico A5s? Curious as always.

I inherited my fathers 1986 Forte 1s and used them as my mains for over 20 years until I bought my Forte IVs a couple years ago. I use the Forte1s as my surround speakers now. As good as the Forte 1s are they are not nearly as good in many ways as the IVs are. The IVs have a deeper, taller. and wider soundstage than the 1s and the bass is tighter on the IVs and the IVs sound much clearer and accurate without any tendency to be irritating.

yes Roy was at Upscale between 12 and 2 on Saturday. I didn't get the email from Upscale until almost 10 AM and that was too late for me to get in touch with them and try and get on the list and make it up to Upland!

I am so bummed I didnt find out earlier that Roy was going to be at Upscale. I would have totally driven up to meet him and hear the Jubes. My brother had Klipschorns, my sister had Forte 1s. my dad had Forte 1s, that I now own, and I have my Forte IVs! I love the Klipsch sound! and.Upscale Audio has amazingly great customer service and everyone I have met there is so passionate about listening to great music on great gear.

I have to check and see if there are any openings for the Demo and id love to meet Roy!
