  1. La Scalas plus horn sub is pretty stellar, I gotta say.
  2. Just curious, what is funny?
  3. Well, not with a hand saw, but easy enough, in my opinion. I've seen plans floating around here.
  4. You could always build or refurb La Scala cabinets.
  5. Well, I'm listening to them in my office now, and I like them a lot. I peeked at one of the crossovers to see which one was installed (E-2) and also gandered at the drivers. K77, K53K, K22M. @MookieStl says he thinks these are 1.5's. They are very articulate and sound great. They'll sound better when I clean off spaces for them on my desks (I have about 12 feet of desk space butted end to end, and I'm kind of right in the center). I'm using a little 20WPC class-D amp with them, and had them turned up pretty good one time with no hint of distortion. So cool. Packaging was excellent, with what I believe are original styrofoam tops & bottoms. Shipping was fast, too. A heartfelt thank you to @Blackbird for offering these up - unbelievably kind!
  6. Yeah, that's like the original La Scala prototypes. http://www.itishifi.com/2010/04/klipsch-la-scala-prototype.html
  7. The original La Scala was “sideways” like that, if I remember correctly.
  8. I don't give my real name unless I do business with someone. Nickname is "code". I attempted to try out for a local production of Jesus Christ Superstar for the role of John, but they never called me in for an audition:
  9. You’re supposed to post photos, like this. That sweet Yorx sound.
  10. Do you know what woofer is in the 2nd speaker? I would try to match it, and if you cannot (and can't verify the parameters of the blown woofer), I'd replace both. Just my 2 cents.
  11. It is when the fan bogs down that you know you have a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What does the pyramid do? Why brass? Are the bolts and nuts brass too? That width to height ratio looks to be close to 1.61803.

  14. Good advice from @glens. Also, can you take a photo of the crossover (where all of the wires connect) showing the nameplate and maybe of the back of the tweeter itself?
  15. Lol, I’m in my 50’s and the heyday is a little before my time. I’ve only been once and the two around here closed up. Shame. Back when it would have mattered, no female would have gone with me anyway. I was a complete geek.
  16. By the way, Klipsch is who told me where to go to buy these after seeing one in a print ad.
  17. Not exactly the same poster but beautiful!
  18. I built a freestanding workshop so I didn’t need wife approval. This was our Klipschorn conversation: Remember those speakers I’ve been wanting for 30 years? No. Yeah you do, the Klipschorns? Oh, yeah. Well, I found some near here and I’m going to go look at them. Wait, where are you putting them? The workshop. How are you paying for them? I have that covered. Ok, as long as they aren’t in here. You’ve never even heard them. I don’t care.
  19. $35 and they are super nice. https://paducahhometheater.com/collections/klipsch-heritage/products/klipsch-heritage-posters I have two and just bought another.
