THTLP or one of Mookie's subs. That's how you improve it.

Anyone going to axpona in Chicago?
codewritinfool replied to Chief bonehead's topic in General Klipsch Info
Sure would. I'm days away from setting up my Klipschorns as fronts, La Scalas as rear, a Heresy as center, and a THTLP sub in my living room. Only furniture is a chair. Best I can do at the moment. -
I know I've been absent for a while, but when did they become unobtainium?

Any thoughts on doing this with 5.1 audio? I'd like to play some 5.1 music from DVD. I have the amplifiers, but need to drive them with analog audio. How can I do this? Does someone make a 5.1 extractor with decent noise floor? I'm planning on putting my Klipschorns in the living room as front channel, La Scalas as the rear channel, a Heresy as center, and a THTLP as the sub. Thanks for the help.

Lol yes but I didn’t have to, there was a yellow post-it on the wrapper with the number right on it.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/255273044888 They look nice. A55G's, walnut tweeter horns, Crites crossovers. No affiliation.

3 pair La Scala Industrial, Boulder CO on-line auction
codewritinfool replied to uteman1011's topic in Alerts!
Wow. Bid right now is around $900 with 15 hours left (or more?). Seriously great deal for someone, even at double that. No room, no time, no money. That about sums me up. -
Early on, they used narrow-gauge 8-tracks.

This is the right answer, IMO.

Strengthening La Scala cabinet?
codewritinfool replied to Dave MacKay's topic in Technical/Restorations
Sounds really familiar. Check out what I did. I chopped the tops off like you are thinking of doing, and made rugged splits on wheels. New handles, SpeakOns, all trimmed out. K33, A55, K77, Klipsch crossovers. 401 horns. They sound fantastic. BTW, I'm not sure how that photo below got affixed to the topic, those in the photo belong to @MookieStl I think. You gotta walk through the thread to see how they turned out. -
I’m big-boned too, but only in my head. That thing says I have 20 more years. Hmmm. Mookie, can I have all your stuff?

Yep. Better photo (maybe) from original thread: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/175660-la-scala-split-project/&do=findComment&comment=2315670 -

Not a very good photo but if you zoom in you can see the U. I will try to post a better one. It fits perfectly over the edge of the plywood. -

I put aluminum U-channel on the front edges of my splits. Works well and is very stiff. -
