  1. Hi! First: sorry for my english - it isn't my native language. 😜 We are remodel our living room a bit and my 5.1 system can finally move from the small hobby room to the "large" living room! 🤩 I currently have the following components: 1x Klipsch RP-440C (center), 2x Klipsch RP-160M (front), 2x Klipsch R-14S (surround), 1x Klipsch R-112SW (sub). My idea would be: 1x Klipsch RP-440C (center), 2x Klipsch RP-280F (front), 2x Klipsch RP-160M (surround), 1x Klipsch R-112SW (sub). So I would upgrade to the RP-280F floorstanding loudspeaker as the front speaker and move the current RP-160M to the rear area. Would that be a good idea? I thought of the RP-280F, because I could buy them as a new old stock for about 750 € (pair). With the RP-280F - my complete Reference Prime Series would match. I don't know, if floorstanding speakers from the "New Reference Prime Series" would match to the other components? Btw: when I bought the RP-160M, I was also able to hear the RP-280F (or 260F, I'm not sure anymore) and was really impressed from them! :) How do you rate the positioning of the speakers in my living room? About the placing of the rear speakers + subwoofer, I'm very unsure - is that good as it is or should I consider something else? Could the many windows cause problems? Nothing new has been bought / furnished yet, so the whole thing is just an example and not yet 100% final. (Couch size / shape, ... ) Only the large TV cabinet remains and the dimensions are entered correctly in the plan. I would like to screw the TV to the back of the wall using a wall bracket and pull it forward / place the center underneath - the surface where the center is placed of is about 47cm high (~ 18,50 inch). I am basically satisfied with my current R-14S "Dipole surrounds", I like the diffuse sound image very much (e.g. when playing video games and you stand with your back to a waterfall - you really think the entire "real" back wall is a waterfall), but sometimes I really miss clarity / "clearness" from where the sound come. Unfortunately the sound quality of the R-14S does not match the rest of the system, so the R-14S are necessarily have to leave for something better. I could of course buy suitable RP-240S or RP-250S, but these would also be at 600 € - 700 € (pair price - new) and that would make a big hole in the budget, which could also be useful elsewhere ... (AVR, TV, couch, ...) The passage to the balcony is a bit narrow in the model - about 60cm (~23 inch), so dipoles would of course be "better" than the large bookshelf speakers for functionality. But soundwise? I hope I was able to explain everything clearly (and convertet everything correctly from cm/m² to inch/ft²) and would be very happy about your opinion! Thanks in advance
  2. Hi! First: Sorry for my bad english... (I'm from Austria) I posted this thread two times, I don't know in which Categorie this fits best... I've got a weird problem with my R-112SW Subwoofer. Sometimes the Subwoofer is MUCH louder when there is bassfull Soundtrack or something. It holds on for a few seconds (30 seconds or more) and dissapear. About 14 days ago, I first noticed it at streaming Narcos from Netflix Episode 4. At the Intro the Bass was extrem Loud and sounded "rumble". Then I switched the Audio Language from German to English and back and everything was normal again, so i thought i could be a problem with Netflix or my Internet. A few days later i noticed it at playing Skyrim on PS4 Pro. There was a bassfull soundtrack and suddenly my Subwoofer turned up i think 3 louder than it should be. I muted the AV-R and turned the volume up again and everything was normal. I have reduced the Reference Level Offset from 0db to 10db and turned the SW Level from +3db to 0db, but it happend again. Muting haven't helped this time... (but 10 seconds later everything was normal again) What do you guys think of that? Is something like this normal or is my subwoofer faulty??? I use: Denon AVR-X2200, 2x RP-160M, 1x RP-440C, 2x R-14S, 1x R-112SW Please Help!!!

  4. Thank you! When i touch the backside of the Subwoofer, it is "hand-warm", i guess this is normal?
  5. When i leave them on 24/7 (on low volume) could the subwoofer or the integrated amp getting too hot? I recently found a thread that the Subwoofer/Amp from the Promedia 2.1 is getting very hot...?
  6. Yes, i hear a little "klack" at the Subwoofer as soon as the red light is visible... When i switch them on again, there is also a litte "klack" coming from the subwoofer as soon as the light turn's green again.
  7. Means "always leave them on" that they are really on (green light) or can I "turn them off" by turn down the volume until the red light is visible? greetings
  8. Thank you for you answers! And how about the Promedia 2.1? I would get a used Promedia System in very good condition for about 150 Bucks or lower. Would this be better than the Denon?
  9. Yes, the RP-160 are Great! But they are too big for my little Desk...
  10. Hi! I'm from Austria and can't find a Pro Media 2.1 System to buy, so i'm looking for another good speaker System for my PC. Most of the Time i use it for Gaming, some Music and Youtube... it would be good if there is enough "Bass"... I'm so impressed from my 5.1 Home Theater (RP160, RP440C, R-112SW, R-14S) that I don't want to buy Logitech or such shi*, only Klipsch Speakers for my PC! At the Moment i'm listening with an Pair Denon SC-35 Speakers on a Denon PMA-535R Amplifier. Is the Amplifier good enough for R-15M Speakers? Do they have enough Bass without a Subwoofer? (Hopefully more Bass than the SC-35...) greetings
