  1. Thank You Youthman, Cincymat & Coytee! Good thing there are no 'dumb questions', huh? LOL... And thank you guys/gals for accepting me into the forum! A million dollars worth of info here! And speaking of large sums of money, I'm not even going to ask how much you have into your set-up Youthman. It'll be easier if I get sucked into the Klipsch addition a little at a time! Bill
  2. I'm going to get a pair of La Scalia's for a 2 channel set up today but I also need to set up a home theatre. I'm thinking I'll just get 2 more La Scalia's (total of 4) & do a HT set up? How are they for a HT set up? I keep reading good things about using Cornwell's, would it be better to use these for HT? Thank You! Bill
  3. Thank You Coytee, jimjimbo, cincymat & MookieStl. I'll call them tomorrow & ask those questions. I'll report back here on what they meant by 'restored' & any 'work done'. As everyone probably figured I have no idea what I'm doing... Thanks again! Bill
  4. LOL, thank you! No wife, all's good!
  5. These are close to my house & I've been wanting to get La Scala's but what does "WAF" mean? That has to do with looks, right? Is there anything I need to check for when I go look at them? Thank You! Bill
  6. Thank You Everyone! Wow! A wealth of knowledge here! So those are the #1's then. Think I'll pass & wait for the II's or maybe the Korn's. I started moving into my new place today & I'd need false corners in both corners, not just one... Thanks again! Bill
  7. Thank You JMON! It doesn't say whether they are the La Scala 1's or 2's so there probably 1's... What's the difference between the 1's & II's? Thanks again! Bill
  8. Thank You! LOL, "wife related"... Hmm, I'll check on the false corners. I've got a couple of friends who are carpenters/contractors... Are the Belle speakers that are shown above worth $2200 ? Thanks! Bill
  9. Thanks for all the replies! The La Scala's on Craigslist don't look like La Scala's I see pic's of. I'm guessing their La Scala I's & they look different? From searching I see the Belle's are not made anymore & were right under the Korn's in the product lineup. Should they be in a corner? And the caps aren't leaking? Is the crossover ok? $8 Grand new? Ah, used is sounding better! Lol... Are the Belle's worth $2250 ? Thank you Everyone! A wealth of knowledge here! Bill
  10. Thank you Ricktate, Just thought of something. I'll call Klipsch & ask them who stocks them! If that doesn't work I'll just get used La Scala's. I was leaning towards new cuz I don't want to deal with any problems but for the big bucks involved I'd like to see what I'm getting first. Also I'm reading all this confusing stuff on what amp to use with them. I guess with klipsch's (& I'm sure other high end speakers) there's no such thing as just getting one particular set up & being happy with it.... Bill
  11. Hello Everyone, my first post! Roughly 20 years ago I went to look at something to buy that I'd found on Craigslist. As I was walking up the pathway to the front door I heard a song playing that was one of my favorites. I thought; "OMG, it sounds like the band is playing live in the house!" But, when I got in the house there was no live band! What was there were Klipschorn Speakers! I was blown away! I told myself I'd own them someday! Well, anyway, now I have the money & the house but no corners for Klipschorn's so I'm interested in either La Scalia's or Cornwalls. I'd like to listen to them. I live in Ventura, California but can travel to L.A or ? to hear them. Local places only have the lest expensive ones in stock. Any idea's on where I can hear these? Thanks! Bill
