  1. DO NOT POST IN THIS THEAD PM'S are all we need here. Thank You for your understanding, and for your conservation of thread space.
  2. I have a Klipsch KV3 in medium oak in and 92+ condition. Has minimal use given it's age. I am the second owner. Smoke, pet, kid free, and has been stored in an safe and climate controlled area when not in use. I don't have OG boxes or documents or anything other than the speaker and the black grills that go with. Use zipcode 53932 for your shipping estimates. Figure 24" X 12" X 12" @ 20LBS. My estimates have shown I could ship one KV3 anywhere in CONUS for $20-$45. Fees included, you would pay... $115 + shipping for the KV3 in 92+ condition
  3. My day at the beach. Door County. If you think of Wisconsin as being the shape of a hand, Door County is the thumb. 🖐️LOL.
  4. Provided me inspiration to post this pic I took standing about 50 feet away, already up 100 feet off the ground.
  5. No, but the clues to my identity are not very well hidden here. 👷‍♂️ LOL. I've had my hands all over what you see in my post, and taken pics, so I guess I feel a claim to saying the architectural artwork is at least partially my own work. So have many others, and all of those who came before, and after, who had the incredible knowledge, fantastic ideas, and most importantly the unfathomable pocket books to make what I do possible. Would you like to see of these posted here later? I can try to find better photography for other similar examples of what I'm calling art here. Maybe I'm stretching too far? Either way, I'm looking forward to more of your posts here. Thanks for creating this thread BTW. I think it's a very important topic.
  6. Not very artistic myself, but sometimes I do my part, or simply make it physically possible for other collaborators to do their part. There are often great foundations that come before the real artists show up and create the final forms of the wonderous sensory experiences that we enjoy so much. Some of life's greatest art comes as a result of great collaborations. I get to play a role in what remains after I am gone. Seemed like a good enough thread to post just a few of the more artistic shots from projects I've worked on so you can now ponder on them too.
  7. Easy simple solutions here people. This is what the world looks like when corporations cut infrastructure down to the bone. I thought Klipsch would be the kind of company that would actually pay a real person a real salary to do a real job. At least one person whos only job is to answer the phone and at least one whos only job is to answers emails. Customer service employees dedicated to that purpose alone. Someone located in the U.S. that actually knows what a Klipsch speaker is or even sounds like, as opposed to say, someone in South Africa that knows more about replaceable mop heads, and can't find the time of day to answer a simple question that they were never qualified to answer anyway. I'm sure there are plenty working at Klipsch who answer phones, texts, emails, but it plainly obvious to see that the only messages those individuals are getting are coming directly off of this Forum, and not from support@klipsch.com
  8. I can see why nobody can get an answer. I sent an email 10 days ago and have just received my reply today. .................................................................................................................................................................................. 314carpenter Feb 1, 2022, 3:10 PM EST Looking for backorder support, current stock, and interchangeability technical information. .................................................................................................................................................................................... Support <support@klipsch.com> Feb 10, 2022, 2:01 PM (10 hours ago) to me Due to heavier than usual traffic, we are a little slower in our responses, but we have not forgotten about you! 9. Maybe he should try putting the Paul W Klipsch signed stickers on the Babe Ruth signed baseball bat. I'm running out of ideas here. I don't want to dash anyone's hopes and dreams, but I think the OG sales rep might have got the better end of the deal here. Best of wishes. Hope he can get top dollar.
  10. Are they potentially worth more? Yes, but only with a story behind it, you can include in the sale the proper provenance to prove your story, and using professional services to provide the authentication. An auction house could help you get better market realization. In such a case, you would still be very likely to get back exactly what they were worth. Any top end you could receive would then go to pay yourself back for the the authenticators and auction services that allowed for your sale to gain any extra traction. In other words, unless you have the means to personally market these to 1000+ potential buyers who actually know and care who Paul W. Klipsch was, and you can prove some kind of personal connection, you will not receive much more than current market rate for you area. I still think this is all very cool though. Best of luck on what ever you decide to do. On a side note, I once had a guy ask me to put my signature on the the back of a pair of Klipsch speakers I refinished. I have to wonder what they are worth now?🤏
  11. Are you saying that you are now the owner of the Quartets? Unclear. Nobody mentioned until just now. If Gil, or anyone else, wants to sell, I'll put up for the walnut Quartets. Thanks. I really hope Gil can keep them for his own personal use, but if not, and they have to sell, well I have the perfect spot for them here at my home where I can use them daily for sure. I understand Joe is holding, but if/when things change be sure to get a hold of me for WO quartets.
  12. Winning bid: US $767.00 [ 24 bids ] Shipping: $150.00
  13. Working on my 9th pair. To be clear, my question is on Chorus II passives, and the best practice for replacing those. I thought this was the best time and place to ask. Is it possible for you to share what modifications (add/subtract grams of weight?) would be necessary to make replacement FIII passives work for someone needing Chorus II's replacements. I could just put them both on a scale, but I still wouldn't know if they were meeting all of the other specs without an official statement. Are the spiders the same in KD-15, KD-16? Only a weight change again? All other parameters the same? Does that mean better compatibility using KD-15 with an appropriate weight mod on Chorus II (rather than using the FIII replacement with appropriate weight mod)? Doesn't the FII/FIII surround compliance matter in the same way the spider compliance would, making the old passives a better solution in any case? Accordion of old vs rubber of new. Some time ago, there was some forum chatter that replacement KD-16's were coming back to Klipsch parts, but now that seems to have been bad info, as they continue to be OOS, and are un-orderable. As always, I greatly appreciate your insight, input, and technical support on the threads. A mountain of misinformation can get wiped out with just a few of your words. Otherwise, a reply in PM is perfectly fine with me, if you prefer. Chris.
  14. Quick reply: four is better than two, six is better than four. Speakers must be at least 3-4 feet from you ears. Farther is better. Base layer should be matched. Same with the elevated level speakers. Quick recommendation: Wall mounted RP-500SA set to surround on the switch, height position in AVP. Room dimensions? What angle cathedral? How are you planning to mount ceiling speakers in a cathedral? Construction? Budget? Room use? WAF? Future plans for the space?
