The only 'traditional' 3-way center speaker Klipsch ever made was the Palladium P-27C.

I think Klipsch is missing out on a huge  opportunity by not having a horizontal center speaker for the Heritage series.

I know a guy who had a Forte II horizontal built for him by a cabinetmaker. All original components and the horizontal cabinet was equal in size to the original. Of course a redesigned motorboard. You really couldn't tell it wasn't a Klipsch. I have no idea why they refuse to do that themselves. I have been running full size vertical centers for the past 4+ years. Compromise is bottom of screen height, floor space in front of the mounted tv, but most people are using a console there anyway. Pretty much all horizontal center channel speakers are compromise solutions, unless your using twigs for mains.

the amplifier is still up for sale , no takers yet ?

Yeah, I am totally taking it, if I can figure out how to get $1000 cash into the hands of the owner and still have legal rights to ownership of this amplifier. The owners insistence of cash only before delivery, without a receipt, with practically zero buyer protections is extremely detrimental to any sale like this for someone just lurking on the internet for a deal. The owner is not a forum member, has no known public reputation to uphold, no seller history, but he is a really nice guy to talk to, and sounds genuine. Unless someone on this forum is local, and they are actually going to buy it first, I just don't know how any of us will ever be able to get it.

  3. The software is free to download. You may try the application for free using the built-in AVR.

Licenses are per-user and per-AVR-serial-number and are non-transferrable. Let me explain...

In real world use, you are required to purchase a license. The license is tied to the owner's, or installer's, email account. The license is granted toward use with one of the Marantz or Denon supported models (listed above) that the software finds on your network. License is not transferable to another user, can not be sold with or without the assigned D+M model, can not be transferred to any future model upgrades. It can however continue to be used if you have a warranty or service exchange for the same model #.

  4. The software supports all of the D+M models that were compatible with the Audyssey Editor App.

    Supported models (Product availability varies by region): Denon AV Receivers: AVR-X6300H, AVR-X4300H, AVR-X3300W, AVR-X2300W, AVR-X1300W, AVR-S920W, AVR-S720W, AVR-S930H, AVR-S730H, AVR-X1400H, AVR-X2400H, AVR-X3400H, AVR-X4400H, AVR-X6400H, AVR-X8500H, AVR-S740H, AVR-S940H, AVR-X1500H, AVR-X2500H, AVR-X3500H, AVR-X4500H, AVR-X6500H, AVR-X1600H, AVR-X2600H, AVR-X3600H, AVR-S750H, AVR-S950H, AVR-A110, AVR-X6700H, AVR-X4700H, AVR-X3700H, AVR-X2700H, AVR-S960H, AVR-X8500HA, AVR-X1700H, AVR-S760H Marantz AV Receivers: AV7703, SR7011, SR6011, SR5011, NR1607, NR1608, SR5012, SR6012, SR7012, SR8012, AV7704, AV8805, NR1609, SR5013, SR6013, SR7013, AV7705, NR1710, SR5014, SR6014, SR8015, SR7015, SR6015, SR5015, NR1711, AV7706, AV8805A Not compatible with Denon and Marantz models other than those listed above.

  5. This is a brand new product available for the first time today 12/16/2021 . Download the software from the Microsoft store. The Apple software version will be available at a later date.

    Official Press Release

    https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20211215005305/en/

    Key notes:

MultEQ-X software works as an add-on to the MultEQ system already embedded in many Denon and Marantz AVRS. Users get complete control over their target sound, with the ability to customize the frequency range and tonal balance of each individual speaker in the system.

A virtual AVR is included with MultEQ-X for free in order to demonstrate the features and settings available. In order to calibrate an AVR, a license must be acquired through an in-app purchase. This license entitles the user to calibrate one AVR for the lifetime of the AVR. Licenses are per-user and per-AVR-serial-number, and are non-transferrable.

More than a sleek interface to the built-in MultEQ technology, MultEQ-X decouples the delivery of technology from the delivery of hardware. It will be the first place users can experience many improvements and advancements to the MultEQ suite of software / firmware room correction that are currently under development.

    Key features:

Measurement with detailed frequency responses for individual channels for easy room tuning*

Subwoofer-level adjustment with slow and super-slow time rates*

Advanced target curve designer, with new “Cutoff Mode” control, as well as complete control over target sound for every channel and every preset

Manual override of all automatically detected parameters

*Some features may not be available on all AVR models

Look up the REAL  reviews on monolith products.  They have MANY issues across the board. Do you want to deal with em?  I won't.

I am a real owner. Here is my review of 'em. I have owned Monolith products for 4 years. One time I needed CS, they were perfect in resolving my all of my needs and concerns. Warranties are transferable for 5 years if you have a photo copy or possession of the original invoice. Shipping costs are high, so look for sales that include free shipping. Returns are also free, but again, shipping costs are prohibitive toward doing in-house trial runs.

I would not call yourself an idiot. For the past few days I have been listening with my class A/B amplifier with at least 150 watts per channel and it is excellent sounding. Just one of those old men driving a Ferrari 45 mph on the interstate is all. The design and components used determine how an amp is going to sound. Forget about power with our speakers. Granted I do have my A/B amplifier biased where it probably stays in class A for 5 or more watts though.

Classé amplifiers are biased up to 30W before switching over. 100% Class A on the input side. You will not find a Class D amplifier anywhere that sounds like Classé. I have owned 2 channel varieties, but I need at least 5 channels. By the time those 5 channel Classé amps drop down to my range of affordability, they'll be burnt toast, or I'll be deaf.

  9. Because we are now only weeks away, I highly recommend holding off all multi-channel amplifier purchases until Monoprice releases the brand new, state of the art, high powered Monolith 8 channel Hypex amplifiers. There are two amplifiers coming. Both amps are 8 channels. The differences are in which Hypex modules are used, ie; 100W or 200W. Prices at launch will be $1999 and $2999 respectively. Lower channel count amplifiers using these same modules will be coming much later. Monoprice is doing much more here than just wiring these up in a custom chassis. There are many updates coming related to performance and reliability. They are already in California, so supply chain is not an issue for the initial launch, but if you really  do want one, have your wallets ready. I expect them the initial wave to sell out very quickly. I will let Hobie tell you the rest.

  10. Sold all three speakers

Best bang for the buck instant upgrade path available today. You are not going to find anyone else offering to deliver these to you with the kind of care and handling I am providing here. Save your time and your back.

For LCR this is your best bet for your front end. Keep the Forte II vertical without a riser so it sits as low as possible. Mount your TV, get a rack and loose that old console, then sell your old center channel that has always been lacking and problematic. Replace your mains with the Chorus II's and move your mains to surround, rear, or another room.

    Condition:

Conservatively speaking these were are all well kept by the original owners (2) in private non-smoking, non-pet homes

All original, all drivers, passives, are all fully functional and have no visible signs of wear.

Grills are black, clean with no tears, runs, or holes

Chorus II are 8.5/10, consecutive serial numbers, 1/2" veneer chip on the riser corner

Forte II is 6.5/10, has no riser and a few scratches, but I can make you a new riser if required (add $125)

    I could bore you with a story about my 1999 Silverado w/62000 miles with a seized LS 5.3. But I won’t -

Before I was 20, I bought a Cadillac for $300 which never even made it home before the engine completely froze up. I've never driven another one.

  12. @Bubo

Don't pass on the Germans so quickly, esp. after only checking on a few models. I'm in the market for a 2016+ Porsche Cayenne and have been finding it very hard to locate one that suits me perfectly. Seems that nobody really wants to sell the ones they own. I was really impressed with some of the Youtube videos showing them pulling jeeps out of the mud, then turning around and chugging up the mountain. Puts the Asian AWD market to shame in all instances. Oh, and they tow 7700lbs. Avoid the base model and enjoy 0-60 in sub 6secs. Buying used is sometimes great. Most of the problems are well known and likely were addressed and corrected by the previous owner.
