  1. I purchased the M5000R amp and the P3000R pre amp five months ago and love them with my Belles. These units are built like tanks. The digital end of the preamp is very nice. My PS4 and cable box hook up are seamless. http://s44.photobucket.com/user/Airgrady1988/slideshow/
  2. If you find the Klipsch tweeters harsh some quality tube amplification can "tame" some of the harshness. I have a Decware 2.3 watt amp that is delightful with my Belles and it can FILL my large living room (20x40) with sound. Keep in mind my low wattage amp cannot handle home theater duty but it is simply wonderful for critical listening. Some of these quality low watt amps can be found used for a reasonable price. The talking tubes section here has a wealth of knowledge.
  3. Makes me sad to see Belles neglected like that. shame shame shame
  4. I have one that's been sitting idle for a few months that I bought new less than a year ago with the usb upgrade. What do you think is a reasonable offer? PM me if you haven't already found one. Grady
  5. My 18's have the new HST MKII drivers from Stereo Integrity, same motor and magnet as their 24. I am constantly stunned by the performance of these subs and I have yet to reach the limits of what they can do, they reproduce bass effortlessly. They excel equally in both music and movies. As I said earlier, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Grady
  6. If anyone is looking for a "Super Subwoofer" I would strongly suggest you look into this company, the products represent a real value to performance ratio in my opinion. I recently took delivery of a pair of Deep Sea Sound Mariana 18's and couldn't be happier. Each 18 inch subwoofer has a huge 90 pound magnet/motor with a 4000 watt Speaker Power amplifier. The owner, David Gage, is truly hands on and offered me customer service that was above and beyond reproach (he hand delivered my subwoofers to my home in Naples Florida from Tennessee!). Communication was stellar, sub and amp warranty of five years is tremendous, and an owner who will give you his cell phone number (which he answers) if you run into any set up/performance issues. The bass is effortless, not boomy, and the performance is simply mindboggling. My movie watching experiences have been taken to a whole new visceral level. I never realized how much content I was missing with my 19 year old Miller & Kriesel MX200. I know there are many great subwoofer companies out there with great products but I was specifically looking for sealed subwoofers NOT vented. They are not cheap but offer a performance per dollar that is tough to beat. www.deepseasound.com
  7. First post here, I just joined today. I have a set of 1984 Belles with Crites tweeters and crossovers. I use a Decware Select Zen Triode with 2.3 watts and have been thrilled with the amplifier. I came from a 19 year old Jolida tube 502 60WPC integrated that I keep on "standby" when louder volume is necessary. I have yet to use the Jolida since I got the Decware amp in April and believe it or not, I am still capable of pissing off the neighbors with 2.3 watts! I could not be happier with the Decware amp. Entry level Decware Zen Triode msrp 995.00 My Select Zen Triode with some options was 1400.00 They do show up used on occasion but they tend to sell very quickly.
