  1. That is something that I would have noticed though right? It's not like outside interference would cause the issue I'm describing?
  2. Yes. I don't have another avr or cable which is kind of annoying, I hadn't thought about switching the sub output on the avr, I will try that today and see what happens. If that doesn't work I'll get a new cable so I can start eliminating possible issues. I just have a generic amazon cable at the moment, would you suggest getting something of higher quality?
  3. So I'm not super experienced with audio set ups but I have tried unplugging the sub both from the amp and the wall and changing the settings on the rear of the sub but nothing seems to do anything. I also don't understand why it does that because it's still playing the audio from the amp just way quieter, could it be that the amp is reducing the audio level to the sub for some reason?
  4. Hello, I have a klipsch R10SW sub woofer in a set up with two RF-3s running off a denon AVR-S710W. I am having an issue with the sub where it will operate normally for about the first minute after turning the system on, then will go into some kind of 'limp' or under powered mode where the sub is still producing bass just at a lot weaker levels. It will stay in that state until the whole system is powered off and powered on again regardless of if I turn the sub itself off/on. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Thanks
  5. Ok so they have no ETA on when another x1100 will be coming in. In this case I honestly would rather get the x1200 or x1300 than the onkyo as I like the look a lot more and the input/output layout is more convenient for me, with both of those being $20 more. Do you think the difference between the s700/710 and the x1200/1300 is worth the $50-70 more? I will try and describe what I will be using it for and what will be hooked up to it as best I can to give you some kind of context, assuming I buy the RF3s tomorrow. I will have 2 RF3s as the fronts and a R10SW as sub. It will mainly be used for games, TV/Movies, casual music listening and occasionally music for parties but not often. I also have two KB-15s that I was planning on running on the other amplified outs so we could listen to music at the same time as playing games etc. The room is about 20'x12'. Thanks
  6. Do you have any idea of the restock time for the site? I really liked the look of the X series one you suggested.
  7. So that one is now out of stock, would you say that the AVR-S710W would be the next one to go for? http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/category/avreceiver/home-audio/receivers-amps/home-theater-receivers/1.html?brand_f[]=ONKYO&brand_f[]=DENON&home_audio_key[]=bluetooth&store_price[]=0-303 Those are the ones I have been looking at. If there is something outside of that search that also has Bluetooth and at a similar price point I am open to it as well. Thanks
  8. I planning on running a ps4 and possibly an Xbox through it as well as a computer whenever we want to stream something we can't with the other two
  9. Ok, thanks for the guidance, am going to look at the speakers Sunday and if they are good will pull the trigger on the new receiver, will let you know how it goes.
  10. So obviously I don't know too much about this stuff but I thought this one looked pretty good, http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/denavrs700w/denon-avr-s700w-7.2-ch-x-75-watts-networking-a/v-receiver/1.html I just filtered for onkyo and denon with Bluetooth under 300, there are a couple more around the price point too.
  11. Yeah I would really like Bluetooth just because of the dorm setup, also 4k pass through would be really good so the onkyo has that covered. I am open to suggestions if there is something around say 300 if it is going to give me a noticeable difference or a better/easier setup process to get it all sounding good. Thanks again for all of your help.
  12. So the only reason I was looking at the Sony is because it has Bluetooth and is only $200, what options would you suggest looking at?
  13. So my receiver just broke and I need to get a new one, I was looking at the Sony str-dh770, do you think that is good enough to power them?
  14. Ok thanks so much for the help. I havent been able to find any RF-5s in my area or with shipping on ebay so I think I will go for the RF-3s
  15. So there is a pair of RF-3 ii in my area for $250, do you think this is a good deal?
