Listening to nature:  For me it is the call of the Cardinal that always takes me back there, my favorite birdcall.

Perfect surround sound. Some nights the frogs are deafening! I’m hearing, 50 birds a min at least. I have a very small cabin, on 2 acres. Nothing fancy, but I love it!

I'm thinking a description such as yours, deserves a pic from the porch.

I am not good at posting pics. Only way I can is if someone would let me text them a pic. I’ve tried and it’s sad to say fail!

  3. I have the  280s also and really enjoy them! I needed a little eq for my room. I hear the 8000s have slightly less on the top, but I have not heard them. Not much love on here, but I love mine. For the price now they are a steal.

  4. Drinking coffee, and getting the cream for it from spotify! First morning waking up, and setting on the porch, in rocking chair. I’m in the Shawnee Forest. Weather is perfect, and it’s truly enjoyable just setting listening to nature most the time

Is your wife still using post surgery drops? They can sometimes worsen an existing dry eye condition.  Did the ophthalmologist recommend a trial with cyclosporine? The latter is often very helpful in dry eye patients.

She is not using the post surgery drops. I will tell her about drops you recommended. I use a drop of castor oil in my eyes before going to bed. She won’t try it but it helps me.

if they are polarized [which they prolly are] you may see rainbows when looking through tinted windows

Haven’t had any problems with that. I got frames with pretty large lens, to go with my freakishly large head, and fairly flat also😎!

  7. The wife had cataract surgery. They really talk it up but the wife now has dry eye, and still wears glasses. I’m sure every case is different but she told me she would not have had it done. Not yet anyway.

  8. I have wore glasses for about 30 years. I always use glasses that get dark in the sun but when driving they won’t darken due to the windshield. I just received my first pair of prescription Ray Bans and I am in so happy with them. I used my insurance for the year and they only cost me 170.00 dollars. One of the best purchases I have made in awhile! That way you can wear glasses and still look like a rock star lol.

Would like to try peach wood sometime, but I never see it here. I am mostly using sugar maple these days which is just perfect in my estimation.

I also have trouble finding peach wood. I have gotten some at a local orchard. The last I received was from Fruita Wood online. A little pricy but the moisture content is a 15 percent which is great for smoking. A lot of comp teams use this wood so I’m sure it’s good enough for a guy like me. I do make some mean Q though, I must say.

  10. I love my Weber Smokey Mountain. Bought it thinking I would get something better in the future. After I received it I found that it’s all I really need. makes great Q. You guys that have smokers try some peach wood. Great on pork! I used it on a brisket and it turned out great also. Hickory and pecan are heavy hitters also.
