  1. If you're thinking about buying a pair of floorstanding speakers in the next few days, you could ****** up a free sub. The promo code and sub varies depending on which pair you buy. No afil. http://www.klipsch.com/reference-speaker-sale
  2. First time, I've caught it where it allowed shipping. Sadly, I'm not even looking for any bookshelf speakers. I was just curious to see if the shipping was available.
  3. I know that reliability is my biggest worry when it comes to buying a sub. I've bought my whole setup from this one guy and his son, and they seemed to have taken great care of all of there speakers. Unfortunately, great care doesn't always equal longevity with subs. The RSW up for sale looked good but I didn't get to hear it. I can only go off the fact that they haven't sold me anything bad so far. But then the question remains on how long before the amp goes?
  4. Dyno, you will always get a thumbs up here for going heritage. Although, I don't personally own any of those speakers, I've read enough forums here to know that they are loved. I don't think the R-24s or R-26s would compare.
  5. What are your thoughts on buying used subs? There seems to be a lot of forum topics on sub amps that have gone bad, so is it even worth it to buy used? I was thinking about buying a RSW-12 for around 300-350 but didn't know if that was better than trying to find a good deal for a newer sub (112-SW or 115-SW). There aren't any Fry's here so I haven't been able to take advantage of their deals.
  6. I paid $400 for mine and they had some nicks in the back but nothing like you are seeing here.
  7. If the money is there, definitely take the RP over the "new" reference series.
  8. I picked up the speakers today. They are really beautiful and I'm looking forward to adding them to the line-up. The only thing is that I didn't know they were so big. I was originally planning to put them on stands, but it looks like they will have to be mounted. Any suggestions on what to do with them? I'm also going to need to find some stands for the RB-3s.
  9. The negotiation wasn't too exciting but I did try to get him to throw in the RSW-12 he was selling at $400 for $200. Well, that didn't happen, but he countered with $350. I think $300 is the most I want to pay, so we will see what happens.
  10. Thanks. Since joining this community in late December I've managed to fully upgrade from my quintets 5.1 setup to 7.1. I have been able to acquire the following: Pair of RF-7s RC-7 Pair of RS-7s for surrounds Pair of RB-3s for rears. I guess a sub or two would be next.
  11. $400 was the magic number. I'm picking them up Friday.
  12. Great advice. I think I'm willing to jump on them more because I've seen the RS-3s and RS-52s drop off the site. I didn't want to shuffle my feet on these since I do have the money for them.
  13. I wanted to start at $350 since they have sat for a while, but I didn't know how that would come across. It seems fair, compared to what you just stated. I think I will give it a shot, I was always taught that the worst thing he could say was no.
  14. I found what appears to be a nice pair of RS-7s online and I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger. However, I was wondering what price I should try to negotiate. They are currently being sold for $500 and have been listed for almost 2 months now. I've done business with this guy before so we know each other a bit.
  15. Every Fry's deal I've seen had been for instore only. Although, I've continued to check to see if things change, but still far no dice
  16. Most of the sellers in VA were trying to get rid of them for retail. I don't think any of those sold because most people knew those speakers were half price at BF. I would suggest around 500 to try to recoup, and then lower from there if nothing moves.
  17. I'm not sure where you are on the east coast, but maybe you can get this guy to send pics. https://richmond.craigslist.org/ele/5958446771.html
  18. They're in DC too. Https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/ele/5980971863.html
  19. Sadly for me, the soundbar is the only item in that group that can be bought online.
  20. I'm surprised you aren't getting any takers. Good luck with the sale.
