I have Pioneer SC-LX901 and Klipsch RP-280F speakers; both of them are Bi-Amp capable. since my current configuration is (5.1) setup. so I can Use Height 1 speakers' output for high frequency connected to HF in RP-280F and Front Speakers output will be connected to MF in RP-280F (Bi-Amp).

     

    shell this configuration gives me any benefits in term of sound quality ?

     

    shell I do Bi-Amp (single AV Receiver 2 amplified channels) or not ?

     

     

  2. I Agree, even I don't know how to calculate the power per channel if more than 2 channels are running such as 5 channels setup. I assumed the dividend of total power into running number of channels. regarding the specs of SC-LX901; you'er right It's total power is 850W. in some websites it's specified 880W such is in the following Japanese website (http://jp.pioneer-audiovisual.com/components/avamp/sc-lx901/spec/)

  3. my understanding is just simply divide total power 880W into 11 channels which gives 80W per channel. which is the maximum capability if all 11 channels are powering.

     

    in my current setup (5.1) I'm using only 5 channels which might gives more than 80W per channel. may be between 80W~140W (Average 110W)

     

    in near future I will configure it to 5.1.4 (9 channels) which gives around 97W per channel.

     

    AM I right ?

  4. RP-450C has followings:

     

    Crossover frequency: 500Hz/1500Hz

    Frequency Response:58-25kHz;

     

    Does it mean:

     

    1. Tweeter's Frequency range  (1500Hz ~ 25kHz)

    2. Inner 2 woofers' frequency range (500Hz ~ 1500Hz)

    3. Outer 2 woofers' frequency range (58Hz ~ 500Hz)

     

    As illustrated in the attached photo.

     

    And do Voice/dialogue frequencies handled by inner woofers only ?

  5. As you mentioned to set front and surround speaker to small to avoid pass extreme low frequency (heavy bass) to them in case of having subwoofer. I am wondering if these reference premiere class front speakers RP-280F and Surround Speakers RP-250S can't handle heavy bass; isn't these speakers should have built-in filter or crossover to avoid pass unnecessary frequencies to the speakers as a protection ?

     

    for example RP-280F Frequency response is 32~25kHz isn't all frequencies below than 32Hz should be filtered by speaker itself to avoid damages?

     

     

  6. Hi guys!

     

    this my first post on this forum; I bought 5 days back a home theater 5.1 Setup with Klipsch reference premiere speakers (RP-280F, RP450CA, RP-250S & R-115SW) and A/V receiver is Pioneer Elite SC-LX901. I am glad that I purchased Klipsch speakers; they are amazing. I never heard such a natural sound like these speakers as well as the heavy bass of the sub-woofer.

    I bought Pioneer SC-LX901 so that I will upgrade my home theater after one your to Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 Setup.

     

    now my only concern is Do Pioneer SC-LX901 is best choice for these speakers since these speakers required 150W while the receiver is 140 W/ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, THD 0.08 %, 2ch Driven FTC)

     

    Please Advice me !
