  1. I don’t leave home to listen to live music because it’s to damned expensive. It costs upwards of three hundred dollars for two people to attend a concert. Can buy a lot of CDs and BluRays for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Klipsch would have the woofers you need. It was interesting that they only went down to 70hz. The modern Heresys go down to 50hz. The factory is in Hope Ark. the folks their are very kind and helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Woo Hoo! I really enjoyed her! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This has nothing to do with Surround. The Heresy was first used as a center channel between Klipschorns. A wide soundstage requires a center to fill in the hole between the R and L speakers. The Cornwall was later developed for this purpose, then later the Belle Klipsch which is essentially a domesticated LaScala. This was three channel stereo. The center was mono and volume balanced between the flanking speakers. And yes in a modern multi channel system Heresys are excellent surround speakers. I use them with LaScalas for front speakers. 5. I totally agree. I use a sub, not for earth shattering lows, but to extend the low end on my Scalas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My access is under the squawker. Hope I never have to change a woofer. I’m very judicious with that volume knob. I like it loud but there are limits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. As I said before, I love my LaScalas and would only replace them with K Horns. Never heard Jubilees but they could change my mind. I believe the Klipsch claims of 45hz to 17000hz +/- 4db Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I hear ya, and agree 100%. LaScalas reproduce real music and not the electronic noise that they are passing off as music these days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My LaScalas are 50hz to 17000hz. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Bass response was never an issue until the advent of subwoofers. 50hz is lower than you think. There is very little “audible” music information below 50hz unless you are listening to pipe organ music. Paul Klipsch’s aim was to produce accurate undistorted efficient bass. I have a subwoofer but was extremely happy with mine for years. You don’t have to have a sub but a sub is icing on the cake Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think I would leave them on the floor. They are intended to be floor standing and sound best on the floor. Wall mounting would destroy your bass response. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. A sealed Back means nothing. The Klipschorn has to fit in a corner to function properly. Stuffed in the corner as it should be the back is sealed. The two walls making the corner are part of the speaker Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Tsk, tsk, the colonel knew what was best for his speakers. Shouldn't try to change it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Week 12 of 1985 Heresy Birch Raw Are the numbers consecutive or is it a typo? So it's 895, 896, or 897. These are the order they were finished for shipping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Listen to them first, then make that decision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Meddle is my favorite. They reached the top of what they intended. DSOTM forward is just commercial fodder IMHO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I would build them from scratch instead of cutting up your LaScalas. Keep the KLIPSCH parts so if wanted you can restore them. Remember with these "upgrades" they will be Crites speakers, not KLIPSCH. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I can't believe you people. A 5 hour drive is nothing. Do it every weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Go Yankees! Gotta win. Mickey Mantle's birthday. Would've been 86 today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
