My first pair of Klipsch Heresy - need help!
Tony Whitlow replied to thombehne's topic in General Klipsch Info
If they sound good,ENJOY! There is no need to tinker with them and second guess the Colonel. Don’t be audiophooled! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It always bothered me that it was cut into part1 and part2. The Pompeii performances are in the box set “Obsfication”. Echoes is in one piece here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Meddle is definitely my favorite. They had mastered their space rock era. Dark Side Of the Moon was their plunge into madness. I truly love pre DSOTM Pink Floyd. My favorite track is Echoes . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

La Scala Owners: What Kind of Music Sounds Best?
Tony Whitlow replied to Cathedral Guitar's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
LaScalas will faithfully reproduce any genre of music. Low distortion, low coloration, and high dynamics. They don’t know what genre you’re playing through them. If it’s well recorded they will sound good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Klipsch are some of the most efficient speakers in the world. They’ll get plenty loud with a handful of watts. 100 watts continuous and 500 watts peaks. You’ll be fine with any quality amplification. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heresy 1's fairly clean from 1981
Tony Whitlow replied to Beenaround's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Listen to your favorite well recorded music. If they sound good enjoy them. You will instantly know if anything is wrong. No need to fix anything that’s not broke. They should be fine. That’s a wonderful find BTW. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Vinyl: When will the FAD normalize or END again
Tony Whitlow replied to joessportster's topic in Lounge
I to grew up with LPs. Ditched in 1983 for the pristine accuracy of CDs.I don’t miss the “analog” sound of ticks and pops, compression to allow cheap record players to track, inner groove distortion, and inconvenience. Paul Klipsch once said that a record was a facsimile of the actual music. I will never again buy an LP and will by CDs as long as I can. I just haven’t warmed up to streaming. Back in the late 60s and early 70s there was a powerful AM station in Little Rock Arkansas, KAAY AM. There was a program called Beaker Street hosted by Clyde Clifford. It was truly underground radio playing material that you never heard anywhere else. Well, Beaker Street is back. Clyde thumbs his nose a corporate formulated radio. You’ll hear art rock which they call Prog now, blues, space, and folk. For codgers like me it brings back memories of my youth. For younger listeners it exposes artists who elevated music beyond the commercial pop music of the era, Tune in Friday nights from 9:00 to 12:00 CST on arkansasrocks.com if you love true classic rock. NO HAIR BANDS from the 80s and 90s. Never got into spandex and mousse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know what they are. I bought the 78s new from a reputable Klipsch dealer and they did not have the foam. My question is not about gaskets, but about the foam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have two pair of Heresys that are 1979 and 1983. I have never opened them up. Would they have the foam? A previous pair I had, 1978, did not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What genre of music is your absolute favorite
Tony Whitlow replied to Brian Tambe's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
‘70s British Blues and Progressive Rock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
A matched pair pertains to the veneer. The grain is the same like bookends. As for as performance they would be the same. Serial number would help. If they are raw Birch being a matched pair shouldn’t matter at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
