  1. From what I understand, and I may be wrong. Back in the day they used to sell these as Mono Speakers. So there might not have been a second one that was purchased. But like I said I could be completely wrong
  2. I understand this madness. White walls and white carpet. Sadly its the life I live with in an apartment complex. Sure I am able to paint the walls... as long as I either paint them back or pay for it. I asked my landlord about her installing fake wood for my floors. She said sure, as long as its the same tile in your bathroom and kitchen. Anyway I have been lucky enough to only have good experiences with sales of equipment. I can totally see all the above happening though. People are nuts.
  3. This is what he has labeled as cane in one of his listings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. That is an awesome view. Wouldn't even have to read a book while listening. You could just watch the world go by. The best thing to do in my opinion.
  5. No no.... No plants will be sitting on top of these...
  6. When I ordered 2105 glass it took over two month so its hit or miss I guess.
  7. Also bought a second piece just in case. I heard they only run reproductions every so often. This time I guess I was lucky they had them in stock. Sent from my iPhone using Taptalk
  8. I'll give him a call. Want to "upgrade" to LEDs but don't know how that will work with the narrow plate. Any ideas ? Seems to me that I would be running new wire or soldering into the brown sockets. Both of which I'd rather not do. Edit: sorry for the mess. Have a lot of equipment and parts coming in for my LaScalas and stereo system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I've heard all that rubber stuff leaves marks on the veneer if it's left there for too long. I bought a second Sanus AV stand to go along with my first. Thinking of putting an amp on each next to the speaker and have my RC64 in between them. Room has to play double duty till I move into a house as a "ht" and stereo system. 11. So I looked up Roland workstations. It seems it has 1/4inch TRS connections for Monitor outs. You would need to get an amplifier to have the speakers work in this configuration. So it would go TRS Main or Aux Out - Amplifier (doesn't have to be overly expensive) should keep it XLR ins since TRS is balanced from my understanding - To Banana Plugs for the speakers. So to make it work you would need TRS to XLR or RCA cables Amplifier with XLR or RCA input and Binding Posts outs Speaker wire to the speakers
  12. So essentially do it at your own risk. Good to know! Will be going a different route then. Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hey guys! What's the consensus on putting tube amps on top of speakers? I listen at a relatively low level. Never past 9 on a set of 22 watt monoblocks. Is it better to just get a stand for them to be on the sides ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Don't know if any of you saw this but they are now saying its linked to North Korea. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/may/15/wannacry-ransomware-north-korea-lazarus-group

  20. I have had it only happen twice to me as well. The LaScalas and some jerk who didn't give me my gamecube on eBay I wanted to play Mario kart so bad. I would agree with you on fixing the problem is way cheaper than buying new. I also agree with before that a lot of new stuff isn't as good of quality as it was before. I know people where I grew up would 1000 times over buy a new washing machine, computer, speakers than take it apart and fix it.
  21. As a kid of the age group you guys are talking about, I feel much safer purchasing off of eBay, Amazon, and in stores where I have a guarantee to get what I want, when I want, in the condition that I know it will work in than risking it buying it used from someone else not knowing the full story. I got screwed on my LaScalas being told they were functioning perfectly. Ended up both tweeters were dead. I had other speakers "closer" but were not in as good of condition. Not that it matters now that they are getting refinished.... Not making that mistake again. Yeah I would say its instant gratification. My age group (mid 20s) were the last ones to not be surrounded by things (tablets, iPhones, etc...) that would allow us to do whatever we want in the click of a button. Think of how easy it is to buy something off of Amazon and have it in 1-2 days some places with some items in an hour, and then think of having to find that said item in a local brick and mortar store or someone local selling said item. Its a waiting game not many in my age group are willing to play. Graham
  22. Looking great! Kinda upset I got rid of my Herseys...
