  1. Actually I plan on searching again as the information was not as easy as entering the S/N and coming up with a simple date. It was more like a decoder ring was needed to figure it out. I must say that these Horns do add a smooth sound that I nearly forgot from the Forte's and Heresy's from long ago. There are 5 separate Yamaha M-65 amps as the power source for the home theater run by a Yamaha 2030 used as a preamp. Looks like these were manufactured in 1983 from the "Y" data. From what I read these are the 595 and 596 line series made. I appreciate the information on the search.
  2. Thanks, I will do that when I get home from work. Appreciate the fast reply.
  3. Yesterday I picked up a set from an estate sale in the Bay area. Everything is original and the speakers work perfectly. Minor blemish on the top on one of the speakers but over all they are in excellent condition and solid. The disclosure sticker has a date of 1980 so I know they are at least that old but just not sure how to determine the actual build date. The pair, these were just impossible to pass up on. Even though I don't have the room big enough to optimize the use of them.
  4. It's called "class B" or "B stock". Doesn't mean it's bad or a problem, it just means that it can't be sold for retail by a dealer. Most warranties will send you a "B stock" item in replacement.
  5. I just bought a new Synergy Sub 12 for $219, no tax and free shipping from an authorized dealer. Buydig on eBay.
  6. I just contacted Definitive Technology and the tech I talked with immediately offered me the schematics to trouble shoot the SF 1500TL and BP200TL speakers. I thought that was way cool that would allow me the option to repair my own stuff and also offered to repair the plate amps.
  7. Even though I registered and sent in the proof yet still didn't get the (Promotion number 72661 11/21/216 - 11/28/2016) $20 rebate yet..Still have pictures of the receipt from Newegg and the rebate form. I would recommend the Klipsch Reference on ear over Sennheiser for a few reasons. 1) better built 2) More comfortable 3) Clarity is purer 4) less distortion at high volumes the only downfall is the cord is to short, if you can call it a downfall.
  8. Hello, Klipsh group. I am new here...like 5 minutes new... I just wanted to intrude myself. System: Mint pair of Klipsch La Scala, bought last year from the original owner at Berkley. Pictures to large of a file for now. 2 center Def Techs (CLS 2002) and other Def Techs (BP1) (BP2) (BP6) (BP2000) and a PF 1500 TL15" Def Tech sub. I sold my Klipsch Forte and Hereseys a number of years back before leaving Texas to move to Caliornia at Travis AFB. A little extreme on the Amps as I have a hobby fixing, refurbishing and selling Vintage Amps. Soundcraftsmen A2502, Onkyo M-504, DBX BX3-MKII, Onkyo M-501. You just can't find the quality sound of Vintage equipment. And for Christmas the wife and kids bought me the Klipsch Reference on ear headsets. I think it was a hint to turn off the amps and still hear the Klipsch sound.
