    What I Got Today!

A Blast from your Past. You look quite satisfied in this photo.
  3. You're fortunate with your location. Florida seems well stocked with available Klipsch products and the supply moderates the price. This is anecdotal, as I haven't got data. But I know dis guy.......from mountaineer country ........who may have some. @wvu80
  4. Keep an eye on your local Craigslist. You could also monitor the Garage Sale and Alerts section of this forum. This forum is self policing, so items presented for sale by members may be relied upon to be as described (as far as function and finish etc) It is best to audition the speakers before purchase, as listening satisfaction is highly subjective. Buying local also avoids shipping, which can be very problematic and expensive. If you are reasonably patient a deal will come to you.
  5. And who doesn't like the Count? Along with Ellington, Ella, and Goodman. Throw in a Jack (Teagarden?) and ya got a Royal Flush of swing.
  6. Welcome to the forum. I haven't any experience with either of those models, but there are plenty of others who have. I see many opinions in your future, most of them helpful.
  7. Seems like an ace deal. A system for the price of the chip.

    What I Got Today!

It doesn't really matter. The sound is what counts and the Heresy are surprisingly potent.
  9. Close match to the two I possess. But I lack the five bones and transport. (Though if it were around the corner, I would scratch up the five bones.)
  10. I'm just happy it gets below 100 at night.

    What I Got Today!

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the sound. They look quite nice. About a month ago I stacked mine on the la Scala to exercise them. I ran them together and separately. The Hereseys stood up well. Not as low, but very clear.
  12. For a perspective: about 12k cheaper than the first house I bought, or about the same difference in what I lost on the last house I sold (gotta love a good bubble) these fine products could be aquired. If yer gonna run wit da big dogs, yez better like da high grass.
  13. Nothing like day baseball. Wrigley field iz on my bucket list.
  14. How this thread has morphed from a query about the desirability of adjusting the pH of a summer fruit, to a discussion about the availability for commerce of two pound balls is a testament to the flexibility of the membership.
  15. If ya stick it next to a nice pecorino Romano or a well made asiago then it is very close to the best.
  16. Just be glad the NAD's were not similarly afflicted.
  17. When in season, I finely chop a few figs and add them to the pasta gravy. These balance the splash of balsamic vinegar and add an interesting texture to the finished product. They also add magical antioxidant goodness, similar to oxygen free speaker cables. (That should "stir the pot")

    What I Got Today!

Some more termaters, a few peppers, and a hint of the figgy goodness to come. Teaspoon for size reference. (If you look really close, you can see Paul McCartney deflected in the spoon. Or not.)
  19. Amazon and other hard copy music providers will have to sweeten the kicker of free download with purchase to a more suitable lossless format. Apple may have to get friendlier to other codecs as well.

Yeah, what he said. I failed to consider the ramifications (and thoughtfulness) of de "bump".
