  1. Gent's don't worry, I know my stuff is far from Macintosh and the like caliber gear. Maybe the DCX2496 is on par with what I have to work with. But would like a little room for growth down the road.
  2. Are there any processors that would match up quality wise to my Emotiva XPA-1 x 2 and Denon POA-4400 x4 amps and Forte ii's? My pre would be the one listed in my sig. Was looking at a Behringer dcx2496 but read that it is marginal at best. Anything else out there that doesn't cost over say $500? Or am I wishing for too much?
  3. Thanks for the correction, been a bit more than 20 years since I had dabbled in this stiff.
  4. My T-5000 crossovers has a 1.25uF cap for the mid and on the T-4000/T-5000 schematic shows it to be a 1.0uF. Should I stay with the value on the board or go with the schematic value?
  5. Thank you Deang! my klf-c7 is not local to me and wanted to get the cap values for ordering.
  6. Someone must have the schematic for the klf-c7
  7. Has anyone determined if the labeling constantly corresponds to the orientation of which end is the outer foil, and if so what side is it on? I do not have a O scope to check so any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. DC resistance values (your measurements) rarely equal impedance values (advertised/marked), they are two different things.
  9. Bluejean Cables offer a quality cable available with locking banana plugs for a good price and work great with out the whizzbang cable prices. https://www.bluejeanscable.com/index.htm
  10. My new then Forte II's worked great with my Denon POA-4400 mono blocks.
  11. Odd man out I guess as I like my old Denon DRA-825R
  12. Most certainly check them out, Quartet's were my first Klipsch speakers back around 1993.
  13. I recently picked up a pair of Tangent T-5000's at a very good price and am quite pleased with them. I have see people refer to them having Heresy drivers in a larger box. But after a bit of research I have found they have k-75-k, k-53-k and k-28-k drivers of which the woofer is 4 ohms not 8. So wouldn't it be more accurate to say they are more like Forte I's in a larger (though cheaper built) box?
  14. craigslist and ebay would be a start, search for forte ii rather than forte 2 as you will find more under that listing.
  15. Curious if this happens very much, I took out my x overs from my Forte II's and found Forte I boards populated with the correct II components. Must be some very early II's
  16. Thanks but there lies the problem, in the schematic listed on this board the value is "smeared" slightly. I do not have the speakers locally so I can not do a visual check.
  17. I am having a pair of kd-15's out of my Forte II's done at Speaker Exchange, Tampa FL for about half the price of SS and both are local to me. http://reconingspeakers.com/contact-map-us/
  18. On the quartet schematic the NP cap appears to be an 80uf value. Could some one confirm this?
