  1. Cool, I did read above about you views on that. Just thought I could be the one to help another go down that rabbitt-hole this time
  2. @ebaer Well... If you decided to go towards better lifelike sound? Been using RP-600M IIs with an SVS SB-3000 not micro for a couple years. Can control it with your phone. Have box for the bookshelf speakers but not the sub, I bought both new. Just listed the RPs for $450 but would sell the sub with them for $1k (it cost that by itself) If you're not too far away from me!
  3. You might have heard me call these my baby Klipsch. Well because of their size, not the sound. Got them when this version came out a couple years ago and knew I'd be moving again soon. They sound articulate as Klipsch should, have way more bass response than they seem able to produce due to size. Placement in corners for the rear port to exhale... that is why you have to play with speaker placement when you get a different pair. It can and will make a difference especially with a rear ported speaker. Pick up in the Roanoke, VA area... I can meet you. Or can ship in their original shipping box. As close to "Like New" as you could get. NO Sibilance! No scuffs or scratches! The Cork mat on the bottom keeps them from crawling across what they set on! $400.00 cash or paypal https://www.klipsch.com/products/rp-600m-ii-bookshelf-speakers RP-600M-II.pdf

    What I Got Today!

Acquired yesterday. Drove through those eerie amber colors of that eclipse between Knoxville and Nashville to split up the trip. Actually these have a well respected provenance! I'd have to check before I laid that out. * @Dave A refurbished these prior to the last owner! Been a long time since I've have Klipsch that would crank! These do it so articulately and with a lower than usual frequency response that I disabled my SB-3000, it can only be adjusted down to 30Hz. The K-48-Es trounce that without a problem. The double pleated shades & latex pillows won't cover this environment for this so I'll be taking care of that next.
  6. With that empty space behind it, and it's through two levels I'll second @Khornukopia above. Done by either by the builder or another owner to obscure wiring. We've been in the days of Home Theaters being recognized as a "thing" for a couple decades now. That place might have other nifty features built in also! Nice!

    The Other Discs

Somebody told me that here a couple years ago. Think they said it was because of the front page of that now messed up newspaper. Sounds plausible, and it isn't clear on the yt vid so I'll take that as confirmation it was the reason!!
  8. Sub? Who needs a sub with six inch tubes in the ports of your KP-301s... and these Go Low! Not sure if they can do soft and sweet like the Heritage can. More furniture will help only so much. Oh and the pillows need rearranging

    The Other Discs

Not what I would normally to play first with new equipment. It would have been a Pink Floyd LP of course. No problem: The Klipsch KP-301 was made to ROCK!!
  10. Thanks @revrseat70. Was nice to meet you and hear about these and others, appreciate your hospitality. Wish I could have stayed longer, that eight hour trip you know was part of it. This guy is one of the good ones, answered all questions, had what he said he had... past tense because they're MINE! All Mine Now!
  11. I took a trip through the eclipse to Music City, USA! `nuff said!! Except of course there is another in here!
  12. Is everybody home and comfy tonight? Well I'm not home, and I might tell you guys tomorrow evening about this time!
  13. Wow! It's been so long since I've heard that I forgot it existed until just now. And where did it exist? At my cousin's country club swimming pool! Of course I played Foghat's Slow Ride and Fool for the City out of the very same jukebox
  14. Hey @Full Range I and the rest of us red-headed step-kids (dj named us that) send our warm wishes and prayers your way. Hope you get better soon!
  15. I'll Play You know how things change over the years. The ROCK-RADIO FM station we had back then played Rat Salad/Fairies Wear Boots together all the time like they did that pair of Led Zep tunes! Of course Iron Man was the reason to get that LP then! Now? I'll pull one that the lyric and music stick like bubble gum on one of those darn 100 degree early mornings! What you gonna do? Time's caught up with you Now you wait your turn, you know there's no return Take your written rules, you join the other fools Turn to something new, now it's killing you First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm Disillusioning, you push the needle in From life you escape, reality's that way Colours in your mind satisfy your time Oh you, you know you must be blind To do something like this To take the sleep that you don't know You're giving Death a kiss, Oh, little fool now Your mind is full of pleasure Your body's looking ill To you it's shallow leisure So drop the acid pill, don't stop to think now You're having a good time baby But that won't last Your mind's all full of things You're living too fast go out enjoy yourself Don't bottle it in You need someone to help you To stick the needle in, yeah Now you know the scene, your skin starts turning green Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality Push the needle in, face death's sickly grin Holes are in your skin, caused by deadly pin Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave It's too late to turn, you don't want to learn Price of life you cry, now you're gonna die!
  16. He looks like a very good foot-warmer for the cold months!
  17. No worries bud! Gyros Your 70s Superstar MEGA-HIT LPs with personal stuff written by them on it was enough of a cardio workout for me! Darn GREAT Gyros Meat enough for three in those poo wittle pitas! Love those gals & their homemade Tzatziki sauce!
  18. Saw that... thus the query!
  19. Good Morning folks, @grasshopper you out there? Hope all is well in your corner of our world! Remember those Asiago Cheese Bagels a few years back? I know I can't be the only person that loved `em! I still look but around here their aren't any bagels worth buying at the stores anyhow. Plain or everything and not any of the good brands either. I'll look on my trip this week! Anyhow bought a loaf of Asiago bread the other day, made a pot roast with two four lb bottom rounds that if you cook long enough that darn lean beef will get tender too. Doesn't freeze well so it's every meal for a few days and I finished that loaf this morning! *Hmmm, mine wasn't sliced. I made thick slices!
  20. You're talking my language @Mikekid. Still remember where I was and what I was doing the first time I heard that Billy Thorpe Anthem!
  21. Well I can say in CLT and around Clemson, usps aren't good at all. It's brown that does the other where I have lived or been stuck. DHL is good, Natural Processed coffee from South America to CLT = 3 days, to across I-85 from Death Valley = 3 days!! They took a day to roast the beans so... about the same as your stuff because of C C C Customs south of us🤣
  22. No, RSA or RSL something. One of the boxes got sent from TX to FL to NC to VA (40 mi from me); to TN to TX to FL to NC to me and it was broken by then! FedEx is the best in the SE USA! The former usps the worst.
  23. All those songs from abacab? were played so much everywhere back in the 90s that I couldn't listen to it anymore for a while. It was a well done release though... for pop music. I'm up and running again until the replacement hits in a couple weeks... and it will sound very different in here at that point!
  24. "I'll Be Back" Got to hook up the baby Klipsch now that I've reconnected the pc to my 50" Samsung
  25. Stay safe @KROCK duck and cover is a proven myth from the B&W movie days now, so just run outside away from the flying bricks! Maybe it's why folks are going back to the dark ages over an eclipse Monday. I'll be driving through it towards Nashville when it hits. Hope that army of the dead stays in Atlanta where it belongs!
