  1. That's awesome @Subway! George, is he the one that got your old warehouse!
  2. Took a trip a little less than 300 miles north. The leaves were almost like a big box of crayons on the side of the highways. Woke up in Elon this morning to literally hundreds of chickens making noise about a quarter mile away. Was told they have two buildings full. Also @Invidiosulus heard there was a smaller than a couple years ago quake near Sparta again last night. Would put y'all closer than I was. I slept too hard to notice... felt that bigger4.xx in Charlotte back then.
  3. I know that cherry wood smells good when you cut it. Good congregation that pitches in like that also!
  4. This is one of two of my favorite Stones records.
  5. You're welcome. The funky stuff i like is varied but early 70s like that or motown is IT. Then Mick Jagger's solo covers are cool to me too!
  6. One More for the Dr's Encore! Whole LP is just a Classic! This first tune is the one of his I first heard long ago...
  7. I've not listened to this guy in a long time. the DJ brought it up at the vinyl thread, and that was a nice play earlier. Now Halloween is coming but it's not shrub to shrub kids, busted jack-o-lanterns and noisy teens until 3am anymore. Might still be candy wrappers for weeks though. Spooky-spicy-funky
  8. potato - potatoe From your article: "(later known as RCA Victor and then RCA Records)"
  9. Wonder if Dr John felt a kinship with Lowell George and his group Little Feat. Those chamelieons from Cali could be confused with country, folk, his bayou music and or southern rock. @Mossy bottom I recognize the reel to reels and the RCA dog, the turntable with the tachometer! Is that another listening room? Or did you just remodel? The KHorns and the rack look primo!
  10. & sometimes I think I know when all I've got are highlights to go by.... Without part of our big D we got it done! Coming up on six years no losses at Death Valley. GO Cade K! GO Shipley!
  11. Oh the tragedy! & it's still the first half
  12. I'm surprised it's your first half-speed. You'll be searching for more now! Like always it makes good recordings outstanding, mediocre ones will show all their flaws up front and center. But flaws like acoustic guitar string scratching on an old Clapton record I don't count!
  13. Thanks, but... His stuff that you can see isn't allowed over here.
  14. Yep when I copy the link it's https://youtu.be/dLtOn0Wwl5Q If I take the period out of the youtu be and make it youtube it still won't work right now for me.
  15. Nat I've heard, him and his daughter are excellent also!
  16. Take your time. Get Well man!
  17. Don't deny it! No mistake, He has an instrument as a voice like so few do. Listening to solo singers practice for church with my mother the organist/choir director in the living room. I've heard lots of tenors, one great. An alto soprano that was the literal "big" lady singing and several good duets. All for things like Christmas then the Easter cantatas. Handel and the like back in the 70s.
  18. Was listening to this last night George! All your fault But I like it sometimes and put him and that voice in a bookmark.
  19. They are also adept with their build-up of crescendos. Ian McShane... Top Notch
  20. Back is much better thanks, but darn going on two weeks now... Hey as long as you're feeling good? Drive it like a rental !
  21. @sunburnwilly That's a pretty good hybrid Bill McClintock has done there! Will check out some more, seems his Dio/Rick James got taken down!?! Some trigger happy ---s don't want anyone have fun!
  22. This one's better though:
  23. When you've got KHorns and an LS in front Heresy in back and friggin knarley Danley?!?! Subs I was laughing at you saying my stuff was intimidating Just havin fun your avatar reminded me of an lp A 80s RUSH LP Power Windows cover. HUGE RUSH fan here of their 70s stuff. Got just a few after that: They're cranking up (I see you MIKE)
  24. @Heritage_Head believe they're past playing downtown with a hat laid out. I would have dropped a tenner If I'd heard them decades ago! Very expressive & imagine their fingertips... sure they've been at it for a long time though.
