Sound quality improved today! 80% wool at a much better price than 100% would have been. 1/4" pad with 1" rug on top, will cut some of the pad scraps to level the 301s out again. So funny to think what 301 used to signify in a speaker to me when I was 20 something😂

The battery in my key fob died today. I did not find a way to get my ride started with that key that comes in it so I'm stuck again. Nothing in the manual, piece of plastic put in the dash where it could have been for the previous years model. Yikes, prime did come in handy with more than movies and tv shows. Got next day delivery for this.

I had the predecessor of that one for a little while. The ATLP-5. It would not allow me to hook it up to a preamp like it stated it would. Maybe the newer model corrects that. Not that particular cart, but it's a Microline and that is great! They operate with less weight because it fits the record groove better, don't wear out the LP like some rounded types actually do. I've preferred that brand for decades because of the clear separation of the high end, the clean bass and all around tonal qualities of Audio Technica. & I loved the chunky look of the ATLP-5!

Pulled the pro speakers out a little the other day. The 1/4" felt pad arrived for the rug that's not here yet, put it down. Mids to lows seem more solid, just a little, the sound absorption brought the separation and "presence" into distinction. Pulled the sub into the mix, low pass at 36 then 32Hz now 30. Vol at -24 up from -38 as before. Listening levels have gone up. Made it past the bass interruption, Xanadu is on and my music is more like normal, except better now! Love the way the mids & highs emulate a LaScala!

That whole LP is alright! I put it in your LP thread a few years ago when I got it through the ultrasound and found it was a good listen!
