  1. I looked in Miami I looked in Negril The closest I came was a month old bill I checked the Bahamas and they said she was gone Can't understand why she did me so wrong
  2. Great LP @Mossy bottom Seger was huge where I'm from back then!
  3. Not a bad idea at all, I've got Level Five incoming from Japan now! If I'm not careful I'll have their catalog on vinyl repeated on cd
  4. Geeze d*#= dirty marchand tried to take our #3 rookie goalie out. Boston you are embarrassing Mr Chara whom I respect! Never been premature before, given the track record of both teams this year and the last few of the season? I know I'm right.
  5. Oh Boy! We'll have to wait until one of the guys here gets a hold of one that they already own on vinyl. I'd believe one of us before T-Bone Burnett trying to make some more money! He says: "Analog sound has more depth, more harmonic complexity, more resonance, better imaging. Analog has more feel, more character, and more touch. Digital sound is frozen. Analog sound is alive."
  6. listening to game two of the quarterfinals and Pastrnak on a team that hasn't beat us at all this whole season took out our #2 goalie. bad pastrnak, you'll see what happens when the `Canes put a rookie goalie in during the Stanley Cup. Remember #30 in 2006? Could be a repeat Here's some rink-rock for ya bruins * 3 - 0 now after the start of the 2nd. Fate can bite, can't it?
  7. I've also heard that my whole life George, got a lot done early on but not much since mid-afternoon .
  8. With the state of things today whoever can give the best deal will get my $ if I need something. Now a days that has to include shipping. Including whether or not it might go through that state in the NE where that ten day black hole exists for one entity! It got me twice since the sci-fi existence or not great reset or whatever you call it started late `19. Twice in the last week or so getting up at 5am to go to the city, woke up at quarter till after sleeping heavily last night. Vacuumed and moped floors already, rainy out, dehumid set at 55 running about once an hour, second coffee at 8am.
  9. The heels of my bare feet got a massage sitting on the sub just now playing "Autobahn"! I see Gilmore popping up a lot recently, this was the only one I had of him solo for a long time. A good promo. *Out of the Blue is poignant hearing it this time.
  10. It's way more cool in here than it has been, had to bump it up to 79

    The Other Discs

Havin a good one... this guy has (had... insert cancelled tearful smiley) music that is always uplifting or makes me laugh.. rarely feels mellow.
  12. Great day! Not that I've wanted to use it much, but found out the ac went out with the early Dec power surge a while back. A few nights were not good, won't leave windows open with 98% humidity. Set the machine to 60 and it will run twice an hour after the initial de-humidify. Let the cooler air in everyday when darksky verified it was lower that about 70%, turned off the dry the wet air machine then. It's set at 78 (that's l o o o w w for me) and cooling down the whole place right now So it wasn't the surge, it was the manufacturer attaching electrical wires to the coolant line, which rubbed over the decade or so and had shorted just for me!
  13. True, they decimated many towns across the USA when they put stores that had been there forever out of business. I recall saying in my HS years that I'd never live further than walking distance from a K-mart. That's my generation. Not being able to go and "fetch" necessary things, I used amazon fresh last year with limited success: fresh veggies - NO, Red Hots by Dietz & Watson - heck yeah! Xochitl or Late July tortilla chips - nope... crumbled from one but from wally.com packaged nicely and sent by reputable shipper = way less for the bottom of the chili or queso bowl more for the cookie sheet of nachos!
  14. @MicroMara they have an interesting sound
  15. target? can't go there if I ever see this mid morning I might pee at the doorway without going in!
  16. You know it Dave. I just shut it down for a bit, those two full lps plus the others not even mentioned here. Fun setting it up, a breeze since I already have one. but having it in between the speakers, on the same wall made it easier. Plus with L & R inputs from the monos instead of LFE from a receiver that should make a difference. Now for my decision. On my Douk G-10 monos I've had them set to 100W / channel or 21 db. If I change the setting on the trick on the bottom of each I can set them to increase the output to 27db or 200W / channel I've only kept them at noon on their pots. Might play with that later, might not.
  17. Saw this while skimming some factual news. John Rich has always been one of the good guys! Not his song though.
  18. Check the youtube thread! Yes Willie she is a nice black gal with a beautiful smile, couldn't help but tell her that one day
  19. Started with 2CELLOS from above, then the vibrations of the 64' Organ Stop - Posaune also. Gotta have below 40hz for that one! Can't measure it unless I put an app on my phone that I'm not sure of it's accuracy. But there is again a dramatically improved sound in here, I had to dial it back to -30 in the volume that started out as -0 to go with the 90 db sensitivity of the speakers I have that go down to 40 or a little below with the corner placement. No phase adjust this time on an open-box sale that hadn't been opened at all Then onto the first LP I pulled out when trying subs out a few years ago, there are more to go today but this one will play out in it's entirety. You were lots of fun Jeff!
  20. I had fresh brown eggs only once in my life (several times that year or so). A friend of my X up in Lake Apopka, FL had some Rhode Island Reds, the male wouldn't let us out of my silverado a couple times! Mean little bird!

    New To Me - MUSIC

@Gilbert That takes me back to an era at The Milestone Club. Black Flag, AntiSeen etc. Not sure that they every played it back then but they were in the same un-genre of music! New to me and I'm digging the utter difference from what I usually listen to. CDB, Marshall Tucker for southern rock since way back. Arthur Smith, Roy Clark, Flatt & Scruggs too. I was more Zep, Aero & Teddy as a teen. These cats were described by another that gave it a listen at the youtube thread as "neuvo bluegrass" maybe? Give `em a listen, can't deny the talent not sure if you'll like it... that's the breaks!
  22. Organic eggs. Complete oxymoron. But then, the morons are running things, started here in dc, now everywhere! I comprehend the no chemicals in the environment around the production of said eggs, or whatever product. But the carcinogenic stuff should have been kept away from food sources forever! fda = govnmt = LIES... But yea the "organic eggs" cost four times as much even in the boon docks here. Had the local brands I knew at home, here I might have found one that I can trust with dairy. Haven't gotten sick from it yet! * doing chores waiting on the mail-lady with my sub cables!
  23. I'm sure that the good teachers now have a real hard time doing their jobs. It would take a strong will to impart that knowledge in one of the oldest and most (meant to be) noble professions. Not had a fridge full enough to find old stuff in it for a long time. back in the days of having roommates and putting marks on things with a grease pencil think I found fuzzy green penicillin on stuff before! Two eggs left and they're nowhere near going bad yet, payday this week so I'll see if I can find them for under $2 a doz again. With the news out, I doubt it! * Fussen is picturesque!
