I am selling a set of Klipsch Epic CF-3 version 1. They are the Black Satin version. The bothersome

plastic feet are  not complete, but I have modified the spikes and fastened some new feet that are level,

strong and look nice. The Klipsch emblems are missing. The drivers are all original and sound as

they should Very light scratches on cabinets and they offer a handsome appearance.  Price is $600.00

firm. You may purchase a brand new Klipsch K-1030-KN replacement woofer for an extra $165.00.

    I live in Cabot, AR.

Do you still have that K-1030-KN? 😬

Well like I said I threw it away so I really don't remember the exact model. Who f'n cares anyway? I'm not trying to sell you anything man so why be mad? It's just my OPINION dude. You can be dissatisfied if you want to with my answer but I still won't even consider any Emotiva products for MY home system.

Who’s mad? You posted your opinion, and I replied to it. Seems like fairly reasonable forum activity to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Got a new Project Debut Carbon turntable today. It’s an entry level TT but still a big step up from what I had before. Sounds great to me. Had to do some vibration dampening work to my rack but all is good now. Impressed so far.

I emailed one hour into the listing and someone got to them first.....bummed.  But I did find some KG4's, listening now and I like what I hear! The lister still has the ad up, marked as "sold as soon as I put them up"  My first pair and I'm already looking for more.....

I need a new radiator for the kg-4, any suggestions on new or used, and where to get one?

I had the same issue (I live in Golden). Never heard anything back, but did see that the seller put "sold" in the description eventually. JUST TAKE THE AD DOWN!

The crazy deals like this get snatched up quickly in the Denver area.

Bought an Emotiva amp as a temporary replacement while I had my Yamaha amp restored by Skip at Legendary amps. I noticed a definite difference in sound quality from the Emotiva compared to my M80. Although there was no way these amps were comparable in wattage or build quality the price was cheap. While I was using it it crapped out and one of the channels quit so i threw it in the trash and bought an Adcom 60 watt per channel amp to replace it. Never had a single problem from the Adcom and the sound was really good compared to the Emotiva. I still have the Adcom and actually bought a preamp-tuner for it to use in an office room or den. I believe the Emotiva was an A200. I bought the Adcom for 60 bucks and the Emotiva for 50. The Adcom is a gfa 535.

So “Emotiva is crap”, and you’re basing that off of your experience with just one of their products, which you bought used. No way of knowing what product you’re even referring to, since the A-200 is not a thing that exists.

We have a new verb as I got tea-manned as well!

Tim guided me in on an XPA-5 a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn't be happier with the new amp, the 200 wpc makes the CF-4's sing!

Love the gen 1 XPA-5! I use one with an MC-700 to power my RF-7II system.

That pic is funny, I have never seen anyone use a HTR used like that. :emotion-21:

Many people have a problem with that brand but the 3 pieces I have tried were as good or better than most out there. For amps they use really nice power supply transformer, this is on there little 50 wpc $219 amp.

The A-100 is an awesome unit, especially for the price. I use one as a portable system with my KP-2500-Cs when needed. It's setup in the garage at the moment.

Is that an older or newer Emo unit? Haven't seen that before. Always like meters......

Older. Available for a short time about nine years ago. I've always wanted meters and this is my first amp that has them. That is an Emo really sweetened the deal for me.

Discontinued model. I like the meters too.

I liked lighted meters when I was younger but in my old age I'm more of a minimalist.  I'm too easily distracted by pretty flashing lights.

The early Emo's sometimes had their flaws but a lot of people liked them for their strong performance and built-like-a-tank construction.

The meters are actually quite subtle, even in a dark room. Not all that different from the status lights on an XPA.

Built like a tank might even be an understatement

  8. RB-5s hare great speakers that I think are highly underrated in the Klipsch hierarchy. I've had a couple pairs and have my remaining pair for sale as I just don't use them enough. Much as I love them, I feel they'd be better off with someone else enjoying them.

In my house, as the floorstanders moved in the bookshelf models got used less and less.

I'm in the same boat. I got mine to go with a pair of RF-5s. They haven't gotten much use since I replaced the RF-5s and I use the KP-2500-Cs when I need something more portable. They're awesome speakers, just don't get much use considering what else is plugged in at the moment.

I am pretty sure the difference between direct and pure direct is pure direct leaves in mcacc settings but strips everything else out and pure even strips out mcacc settings.

Of course you have about 20-30 other filter presets to work thru. One thing I have been playing with is (once your completely satisfied with mcacc and your room correction) to play 2.1 music in extended surround sound... it's quite good and very very satisfying with many types of orchestrated music. The processor does a great job of separation and assignment.

Playing "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits in extended stereo right now. Very cool!

    Sweet!

What do you think so far?

Have you tried any 5.1 music?

It's pretty feature packed, dont be intimidated by the flexibility of the unit... pure direct is your friend.

Haven't gotten to play around with it much, but it's very similar to my SC-05 in operation. Sounded good, but I only played around with it for a few minutes before going back to work. Popped in my Fleetwood Mac "The Dance" DVD for a few tracks for the 5.1 audio. I'm leaving work in a few minutes and will be playing around with it when I get home. Will do a MCACC room correction as well.
