SC-85 arrived today!

CF-2s are underrated speakers. Nice pickup!

Looks like they've moved away from the beefy remotes. The remotes for my PT-100 and MC-700 are made of light, cheap feeling plastic.

I've used mine with my '76 Heresy, RB-5, KP-2500-C, and La Scala. It's great for temporary setups (like when I was painting the kitchen after we moved and used it with the RB-5s). At the moment, it's in the garage powering the 102db@1w KP-2500-Cs, providing the tunes while I work on vehicles. Nice, clean power in a small and easily moved package. No complaints to report. All the Emotiva stuff I've owned has been very solidly built. Especially the 80 lb beast of an XPA-5. Best bang for the buck out there, IMO.

I love my A-100.

Keeping this in mind for the Pioneer SC-85 I just bought. Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

Also gonna throw in a vote for the PT-100. I absolutely love mine. Simple, inexpensive, plenty of feautures, sounds great.

Good to hear! I love my SC-05, so I'm happy to get into another Pioneer Elite AVR. I doubt I'll ever use most of its capabilities, but they're nice to have.

Just scored a new Pioneer Elite SC-85 for my basement KLF system so I can move the SC-05 to the bedroom to do two channel duty with my other pair of KLF-20s. Can't wait!

You are going to love it, and it is indeed a beast. Get some Gen 2-3 trim for it
