  1. Sorry to hear about your daughter brotha. I would send you a pic of my arm, but I won't. Been there, done that, TWICE (compound fx). Wish her the best. Skateboards are Def dangerous.
  2. That's what I said when I realized he wasn't close enough for me to buy that sub 😞
  3. Stranger things have happened..... On ebay.
  4. It's real! GLWS. Great amp. Got a 1602 myself. Those look to be mint as well, which isn't seen often.
  5. Horn loaded, no need for massive power. When someone wants to sell me a danley th112, Ill let the other two subs go haha. Perhaps...
  6. As you are no doubt aware. A bridged K2 puts 2500 watts, so the specs say and is supposed to be quite good on da bass. A bit cheaper too. I am very aware and have owned those as well.... The low level turn off is annoying. No offense, but to me there is ZERO comparison between the two amps (although the K2 is an AWESOME amp for the money) . The crown macro reference is the best amp I have ever heard on subs/woofers. I was biamping my Legacy Focus with them and I still hear from friends that I made a stupid decision to scrap that setup. That setup was genuinely too large for my current small room. They need room from back and side walls, space apart as well. I don't have it.
  7. They are 😂. I have two choices. As the damping factor is ridiculous on the amp at 20,000, I can go full apes*&# and bridge 3k watts RMS into two JBL SRX718S subs. Other option is to keep lower power, which to be honest is plenty almost always, and keep SQ higher to the subs. These subs wake up with a lot of power. I have owned them for many years and know what they are capable of. Only downside to these subs. Go big or go home? I want another Crown Macro in stereo going to the 396s. I have two dedicated 30 amp outlets for these wired already (a necessity if you want these amps to perform to their potential).
  8. Anyone know much about or have an opinion on the Gustard X22 DAC? I bought one on a limb for the pricepoint/performance. What say you positive or negative?
  9. Excellent advice. Absolutely true.
  10. I can see DAC technology changing enough that one would want it as a stand alone piece in the source chain. Exactly. I like the freedom of choosing. Reason why I went with passive subs also even though there are much more plentiful amounts of active subs everywhere you look.
  11. Came a cross a posting on CL. Got me curious. Anyone familiar? https://shop.gsgad.com
  12. Generous gift there. Sounds like an excellent combo.
  13. Good of you to give away free stuff in a contest though.
  14. The preamps are very very similar otherwise with minimal meaningful changes. CLled parasound and discussed both ideas. Was advised to go the route that I did.
  15. No. I was going to the P6 solely for the better DAC to be honest. Figured it makes more sense to buy P5 used and get a much higher quality standalone DAC for a, couple hundred more.
  16. At common listening levels, all 3 power amps play for 30+ seconds after power off. Maps straight to wall. If you prefer to use a conditioner, make sure the unit will support the current draw of thd gear plugged into it..... Seems that yours does not...
  17. I read the first two paragraphs of that quickly and stopped....
