Speakers are not in a very good condition .......
What about their condition is not very good? There is mainly a top edge darkened damage that I see in one photo. They look functional.

These are not mine of course. Again, they are too far from me. Perhaps, someone close enough to Monroe, LA would venture to their proximity.

Distance is usually the reason many of us don't have more Klipsch speakers in our collections. 😉
How true.

Even an OBO...
Especially one taking offers. Too bad I can't make the drive nor do I have the space for such a project.

These are other pics from a different ad for the same pair posted from Houston area. They don't seem to have their original badges.

This ad is from Johnson City, west of Austin.

Near Tyler, Texas are a pair of Chorus II's that could use much love and care. Seller, who's asking $500, states that they sound great.

Well, It's a while since I started this post. I have an update . . . . . I traded the Forte III's . . . . . for an integrated Yamaha amplifier.

Does the old adage "You get what you pay for." apply here? Being burned by ebay sellers before tells me to not expect much quality from low priced "used" items.

I am in my early 50's age and have suffered hearing damage from several concerts attended. I have a dull permanent tinnitus but I also suffer a brushing sound in one ear when listening to high frequencies at a high volume.
So I keep the my sound at low levels for long term listening and mid levels for very short term listening. I also don't use headphones for long term listening. That is also why I prefer the well balanced efficient sound of the Forte's.
I use ear plugs when attending shows, but then again, I don't hardly attend shows anymore because ear plug listening sucks.
I have seen a few medical professionals and lowering the volume on everything is the only solution to preserving what is left of listening quality. 😐

I agree. I like the Forte III's but I am limited on space as they are crowding my LR. Maybe I need a smaller audio table.

Oh, these are just too high for me right now. Plus, I am not sure about them not having the serial number labels attached to them.
Anybody else troubled by this scenario?
😕
