  1. Hi, I visited the Kenwood Outlet Store today and found the VR-507 for $189. I think that's an amazing deal. They also had the 505 for $99. Which is a better deal for a 19 year old short on money. How are Kenwood's? Are they better than Panasonic? Also i'm purchasing the JBL Northridge 5 speaker pack. How would this combo be? Thanks
  2. Okay, Well I'm about to buy a panasonic receiver that is advertised 6ohm and 100 watts per channel. My speakers are JBL Northridge 8ohms. Will I have a problem. Will the sound be weak? Should I spend a little more and get a 8ohm receiver?
  3. I have a question. If my speakers are 8OHM and my receiver is 6 is that bad?
  4. I'm selling my DD-5.1. It is basically new without the box. It has the instructions and remote. I'm selling it for $145 w/o shipping. Email me at isurvivedptach@aol.com. Let me know. Thanks.
  5. Okay, So does it make a big difference? Is it worth me paying $$ for monster audio cables?
  6. Hi, I have the DD-5.1 hooked up to my amp with regular plain RCA cables. NO shielding or nothing. My receiver is a Dolby Digital ready mini system. Should I spend more money and get better cables or are the ones i'm using now okay? I just invested in Monster Component and Optical cables for my XBOX. I'm extremely happy with that decision. All the help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Okay this is my situation. I have a Dolby Pro Logic mini system mad by sony with 240 watts. It is Digital ready and I own the DD-5.1. I get decent sound now. I also bought a KLH 120 watt sub. I'd like to know about upgrading my sound. Can I buy like a new center speaker that is 120 watts or is that a waste because my system on shoots out i think 60 for that channel. Maybe less, i don't know. Someone help. Please. I want decent sound and i'm only a teenager and cant afford anything spectacular. Thanks
  8. Thank you so much everyone. My Sony is 240 watts with 5 speakers. That's basically all i know about it. It is dolby digital ready. My DD-5.1 is supposed to arrive today. I am psyched. My sub is great but my speakers could probobly be better. If I were to buy new speakers and continue using the Sony as an amp would I have to buy a speaker that would be able to handle the small amount of watts coming from my sony. I'm thinking about purchasing 2 front speakers soon for about 100-200. Thanks
  9. Hey everyone, I am new to the whole home theater stuff. I currently have an XBOX hooked up to an RCA 25' TV with just a coaxil input. I know that sucks but that's all I can afford at my young age. I have my XBOX hooked up to a Sony Mini System with Dolby Pro Logic. It's 240 watts. Yesterday I went out and purchased a 120 watt KLH sub to attach to that. And I just purchased a Klipsch DD-5.1 to use for my XBOX and DVD. I already have an optical waiting for that. How is my setup? Any suggestions? Also does anyone know what cables come with the DD-5.1? Thanks alot. Jonathan
