Recently lifted my 07 XC70, 2 inch lift in front and 3 inch lift in the rear. Rear wheels could use a spacer to sit more flush. Any Volvo guys here? Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
  2. Best buy actually carries both and can get heritage models. I work partime at a best buy Magnolia for a couple years now. Talking to a klipsch rep at work, the RP line has a silicone damped horn, much better bracing, titanium tweeter, and they use the copper cerametallic woofers instead of IMG woofers. I've never heard them, but have heard good things. I've sold them and have had nothing but good feedback from customers. RP is deff the way to go (or higher haha) I wouldn't even look at the reference line. I would think its safe to say that you will get better clarity, midrange and stronger bottom end with the RP line. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

For some reason all my cars begin to turn into project cars [emoji2357] Daily driver: 07' Volvo XC70 - IPD fresh air pipe - IPD throttle intake pipe - black rhino wheels boxer 17x8 wrapped in Cooper ats3 - 2 inch lift soon, along with an audio build (audio in the works rn) - gotta replace some wear and tear things then I will be getting the IPD charge pipe and a catless downpipe with a tune, my goal is 300whp which I'd say is very reasonable. Possibly more.. Sunday driver: 15' Scat Pack Challenger Shaker 6MT - speedlogix catch can - has oem Mopar intake with headlight "cutout" - dynomax race bullets - deleted resonators - Akoprovic black carbon fiber exhaust tips (quad 4") - hp goodies soon - plan on bagging it with 3p wheels Previous car: 13' Accord Sport 6MT - airlift v2 with air lift struts - weds kranze bazreia 3p 19x9.5 / 19x10.5 powder coated black with gold flakes (looked nuts in the sun) - tsudo cat back exhaust 2.5" to dual 4.5" tips - RV6 catless downpipe - Megan racing test pipe (2nd cat delete) - full audio system ( JBL comps, 4x sundown e8v3 subs, 2xs power batteries, CT sounds at1400.1 and CT75.4) - carbon diffuser and side splitters Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  4. Ah lol. Uh I would say the TV probably? AVR companies just focus on sound so I'm not too sure how well their upscale capabilites would be compared to a TVs. And I'm not surprised that it could negatively impact picture quality. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  5. Motion is better. Didn't really notice anything else. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  6. What does everyone set their AVR that upscales video quality to? I know this will vary based on receiver so I ask you to tell us your AVR make & model along with your TV make & model. I think this may be beneficial to some people?? My setup: AVR: Pioneer Elite SC-91 set to PURE (no upscaling) TV: Sony 65A1E Cables: all Audioquest Cinnamon HDMI's I previously had my AVR to upscale and super res setting +3 then I decided to try it without. What I've noticed is that certain films/shows motion is a lot better/smoother. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  7. Wondering where some of you purchase your veneer from? I'm looking to purchase some veneer for a amp rack I will be building for my car and plan on doing a matching trunk floor in my Volvo xc70 lol. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  8. Here's a couple pics I've dug up. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  9. Was looking to get a Flex 3401VRG dual action polisher but it was excluded from black friday deals everywhere [emoji854], I didn't buy much this black friday though. I feel deals were not as good as previous years. I did buy a set of black rhino wheels boxer series in gold for my 2007 Volvo xc70 along with Cooper all terrain tires but there wasn't really a sale on those lol. Also bought a Dayton audio dsp-408 for my Volvo, I plan on doing a ground pounder build in that.. Lol I already have Focal PC 165F components up front at the moment and just need the rears. I have all the amps and Batts from my previous vehicle, should be pretty loud and clear when I'm done with it haha. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  10. Good to know thank you. Soldering is not a problem and I saw ERSE but never heard much about them. My KG2 are connected to a Rotel RA-1570. The system is used for TV and music in my bedroom. I feel like the KG2 sound a little dull but that could just be the tweeter type compared to the horns on my KG4.2. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  11. Looking to upgrade a pair of crossovers for a KG2 and possibly other klipsch speakers I have (Forte ii. Chrosu I, heresy ii). Right now Id like to upgrade them in my KG2 that are made in 1984. I know the caps could prob use a refresh and I'm thinking of replacing all components for a nice refresh. So where's everyone buying their high end caps, inductors etc from? Not sure how much pice ranges from but I don't mind spending money on high quality parts. I was thinking about crites upgraded crossovers but I think a diy would be fun. 12. KG2 (not sure if this is one with a passive radiator or not, or if it matters?) looking to find out if the passive causes any change in the passive radiator? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  13. I love my pioneer elite sc-91. I would highly recommend. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  14. I would suggest looking at the Sony 65X850F comes in at 1399.99 but this will probably yield best picture under 1500$ in a 65". Remember a lot of the sub 1k 65 inch TVs do not have 120hz refresh and some tend to be very juddery with motion. The larger the screen, the more apparent this will become. You can also check out LG 65SK8000 1099$ pretty decent TV. Blacks aren't as black as the 850f cause it uses a IPS panel which tend to Grey out darker colors but offers wide viewing angles. 15. I always go for quality over screen size, but that's just me. I would probably go with either a Samsung 55"Q8 (1499$ best buy right now), or a Sony 55"X900F (1199$ best buy) . The Samsung is good if you like bright and vibrant colors. The Sony shines in the movie department/sports, more realistic/accurate coloring, best processor and upscaling capabilites out of all TVs on the market (Sony X1 Extreme) and I firmly believe that even though both TVs are native 120hz, the Sony seems to have better motion clarity. I own a Sony 65A1E OLED along with a 55X900E and both are phenomenal TVs and could not recommend more. I also have a older Samsung 55ES7100 that has been a great TV as well. Also there a lot of lower model TVs that advertise HDR, but there's a problem.. HDR requires a 10 bit panel capable of producing 1 billion+ different colors and shades. Most of these lower sub 800$ TVs do not have 10 bit panels, but they can decode and "simulate" it with processing but you will not get the full effect of HDR. The Q8 and the 900F models are capable of producing an HDR image. Comes down to what you like: very bright + vibrant colors = samsung Toned down more realistic coloring, excellent motion clarity, and the best 4k up scaling capabilities = Sony You could say I like Sony a lot.. But if you ever go to movie theaters about 75% theaters use Sony projectors. Also a lot of TV networks use Sony cameras and Sony is the oldest TV maker in the game that only make film and audio related products instead of washer and drier machines and fridges etc. Good luck! 16. I push my 4.2's with a Rotel Ra-1570, 120 watts rms and they sound awesome. You could try to find a used rotel 2 channel if you're not trying to spend a fortune. Just my 2cents. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  17. I have a pair of kg2 FB that are in ok shape, I'd like to refinish them. I'm wondering if it is a factory stain or a lacquer? Attached a picture of my serial number for reference. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  18. I have Forte II fronts, academy center, mirage LF-150, KSB3 rears connected to a Pioneer Elite SC-91. I did use the Mcacc pro calibration and I do have to say it sounds pretty good. I would recommend any Pioneer elites probably. I also have used a Yamaha RX-A660 and that also sounded very good. The pioneer does have more power with its class d amplifier and with the calibration it sounds pretty flat and no peaks in frequency. I would conclude with pioneer elite, Yamaha aventage or Marantz. 20. Welcome to the community! I love my 4.2's! These were my first klipsch speakers until the madness began, now I own a total of 6 pairs of klipsch speakers, mix of heritage and classic old school KGs throughout my house. The 4.2s are a very good speaker overall. Great frequency response for a 2way. I've used them on a pioneer elite sc-91 and currently (not in this pic) a Rotel 1570 and they sound phenomenal for a bedroom setup. Sitting on top are KG2s. I usually play them independently. 21. Up for sale is my Yamaha RX-A660 that I used for 3 month before I got my hands on a Rotel. Great amp, sounded very good on my Forte II. Receiver will come with all original accessories (remote, antenna, wifi antenna and manuals). I am located in RI and can ship or meet somewhere. I believe I purchased the 4 yr best buy warranty as well and can supply copy of receipt to owner. My asking price is 250$ + shipping. Can work with purchaser on shipping if it costs a lot. I do not have original box for the receiver. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  22. Can't win lol, All file sizes were below 300kb, pretty small no? BTW whats max file size? Here are links then.. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/bteckz56/MVIMG_20171130_190249_zpsetvnlwc6.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/bteckz56/IMG_20171204_211043_zpswy2dwcee.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/bteckz56/MVIMG_20171118_160926_zpsvwzzt0pq.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h221/bteckz56/IMG_20171013_200603_zps2oshitkg.jpg

  24. 1st pic: my bedroom - KG4.2 and KG2 (with passive radiators) stacked on a Pioneer Elite SC-91 2nd pic: girlfriends room at her place - Heresy II on a Pioneer Elite A-35r (wish they were farther apart but there's a pole to the right of the curtain doorway lol) 3rd pic: upstair living room (my place, terrible layout but what can ya do if you want some nice speakers) - Chorus I upgraded TI tweets on a Sonos Connect Amp, speakers are diagonally across each other (right next to the tree on the left and all the way to the right of window) sounds pretty good for poor placement though. 4th pic: Occasionally listen to music on my surround sound in 2ch if that counts. Forte II (crites woofers, that's it). Gotta get rid of the bookshelf though. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
