  1. Yeah; seems Klipsch now has their gestapo running this forum. Gestapo definition: a secret-police organization employing underhanded and terrorist methods against persons suspected of disloyalty
  2. Only trial and error will tell Plug the ports with some rolled up socks and listen I have a pair of L/R RC-7's in "tight" bookcases, positioned right up to the rear wall. Plugging them was a great improvement. (Yes, I know that they sound better unplugged at least 4 inches from the wall - just NOT possible.)
  3. Haha; had to google it ... I see what you did there
  4. Haha; some of us just want to "show off." But, seriously, dedicated 2-channel receivers usually are just "better" than AVR's - especially AVR's pushing 7 channels. In my case for example, I have a decent 4.1 "TV SOUND" system using an Onkyo AVR which puts out 120 wpc. But, also have a 2-channel setup with pre-amp/amp (350wpc) and KPT-904's with a JBL HF horn section. Haha; I only play it LOUD. Absolutely "night and day" or "Yugo vs Porsche." Try it; I am sure you will like it. But be prepared to spend much more money
  5. Had Heresy's L/C/R for several years and it sounded pretty good - even with the center 4 ft below the L/R ones But, wife did not like the center in front of the fireplace, so got rid of all three Using RC-7's as L/R now and it is almost as good - but; use them for TV sound only
  6. Agree. Got a pair to replace my rear Cornwall's. Using them with L/R RC-7's for TV sound only. Awesome BTW, the FleaBay ones are "gone."
  7. Located in Davenport, FL. Condition (supposedly) very, very good. 15 inch woofers https://offerup.com/item/detail/98edc582-0371-3eee-90ad-29c5d73dc0f9?q=klipsch
  8. Seriously? TWO or THREE DAYS of downtime? Most organizations shoot for 99.99% uptime, i.e. less than 9 hours of downtime in a year Unfortunately it reminds me of unreliable Klipsch subwoofers/etc
  9. And; to "those" looking for shipping costs ... speakers are in Denton, TX. Look up ZIP. Next look up specs for RB-35's (weight and size). Then, check out USPS and UPS for shipping rates. Pretty sure UPS will be cheaper
  10. Great buy! (Even with $100 shipping.) Got a set of RB-75's a couple of months ago and I paid $500 incl shipping from Canada Note; if you are shipping these it is recommended that the drivers be removed from the horns - at least that was the case for my RB-75's (which have heavier drivers).
  11. Well; I am with @gmarcm Had Forte I/II's and never was really pleased by them. Good sounding speakers, but they never "filled the room" with music. Tried "upgrading" them by adding K-510 horns but was never successful - the 510's "blew" away the Forte's making them sound like cheap little speakers. Think the 8000F's would be a marginal up/downgrade. (I am NOT familiar with them.) Instead of contemplating those, I suggest you look at some Klipsch PRO speakers.
  12. @fini you should be able to find some contacts there
  13. Not a "classic," but replaced the K-510 horns on my KPT-904's with a JBL 4622 HF section ( JBL 2384 horns w/ 2451H drivers). Major improvement
  14. Wow ... you have missed a lot of "music." Congrats on the Khorns
  15. It is amazing to me how someone's posts/comments sometimes "just disappear."
  16. Glass tops are great for some speakers. Had them on my CW's and currently on my subwoofer - which looks like a table so people put "stuff" on it Haha; do not have glass on top of my KPT-904's/HF section nor on bookshelf and/or tall floor-standers Don't forget to put little clear spacers underneath the glass.
  17. NO; the speaker terminals are connected to the internal crossover. To run it with a DSP you have to connect the DSP outputs directly to the individual woofers/tweeters/etc.
  18. Bought a Dynaco clone about a year ago from http://www.tubes4hifi.com/amps.htm#ST70 . The ST-70 came with excellent instructions and was very easy to build. And the owner (Bob?) was extremely helpful when I made "one" wrong connection. They also have ST-120's and some monoblocks. About $1300 for the ST-70 with some upgrades. Highly recommend this if someone wants to try tubes. (However, sold it a couple of months later as it just did not enough power for me - using 220 and 350 wpc SS units now.)
  19. No clue as I only have floor-standers. But many available on FleaBay such as https://www.ebay.com/itm/303907537269?hash=item46c24d0175:g:LbkAAOSwrwhgQFJx&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsDSwjpmuzSSbK%2Fqn9BBT%2B0%2FKVva3%2FFnx%2B%2Fvc4FihKsb0%2FGD81DoJWz00YcdYHe77J1YqWaJW1cTCyKXyt02zIoDo1SwI6tWwpGh1h1HCGrn23SBwjROc04H50lgnvMNegdwuP70JK3%2BS7cQEuPbjXxWWlAhOosUhpdG50vx9TwbvBnKfN3kbXP8vvmZf0%2F5caGlXcGXAKSxNIHEEJNI%2BwE6Nf%2FzGPaF0GwWqPhk56sD8|tkp%3ABk9SR6Lh97HdYA
  20. Haha, thought you were crazy as I have dual RC-7's used as L/R TV speakers. But, it seems others agree with you. See ...
  21. K510's or bigger? Had some K510 brackets but gave them to a forum member ... too long ago to remember who Boxes are easily build but angling the horns is a bit of a problem. (My horns are about 5ft high on top of KPT-904's. Never had to angle my K510's as they have a wide field of sound ... same with my "newer" and larger JBL 4722-HF horns.)
