  1. @mlalla The RP-280 system is $3,143 from Klipsch.
  2. Hello everyone, I am interested in setting up a HT, and I need some recommendations. So far, I haven't purchased anything - I am starting completely from scratch. I've attached a poorly-drawn mock-up of the room for reference. The proposed space is a small room (approximately 12.6' x 13.6' x 8'). I will be using this room for listening to music as well as watching movies. The TV I have is a 46" Samsung, but it is not 4K and I really don't plan on upgrading it right now. I am considering the thought of an Atmos system with in-ceiling speakers, and I am thinking that a 5.1.4 would be plenty for this room. My budget is about $3-4K for everything. I haven't decided if I am going to purchase everything at once, or start small and add to it. I reached out to a local shop for some advice and here's what was provided to me: Klipsch RF7II cherry (he can give me a pair for $1299) Klipsch RP250C Klipsch R14S (pair) Sony STRZA1100ES What do you guys think of this as a starting point? Should I look at other options? I realize that there is no mention of a sub. I am considering either the BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt Front Firing Powered Subwoofer or the Klipsch R-115SW Subwoofer. It's a huge difference I know, and it's blowing my budget out of the water as well. Also, after searching around, I was thinking about going with another receiver: Denon AVRX4200, but I read a post that said that if I choose to do a 5.1.4 setup, I would have to sacrifice the rear surround speakers and also purchase a 2-channel amp to run the ceiling Atmos speakers. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. room.pdf
