Anyone still looking for belles?

Looking for someone to please move this to the Garage sale! This isnt really an alert. I couldn't see a way to delete it. Sorry!

I posted this a while back but pulled it after finding a pair of Belles. I am on the prowl again. I am not picky on color. No I don't want the ones listed on Amazon, or the uber expensive ones on ebay! Likely would be looking for P37 based on price point, but I couldnt rule out P38s. With that said I have a pair of 1975 Klipsch Belles with AA crossovers. I was told I am the second owner. He had some of the paperwork he was given when he purchased them. The are Walnut with black grills and are EXTREMELY clean in my opinion. I would prefer to sell it with the Klipsch Heresy that I am using as a center channel. The Heresy has a crites crossover. The Heresy is Walnut as well. I have the matching black fabric to make the grills match the Belles, but I have NOT installed it yet. They all sound fantastic. Once I get my mind on the impossible I have to try and make it happen. That is why I am looking at selling, to get Palladiums. I am located in Wisconsin. I can provide pics to interest parties. $2600 forum price. Would try to sell at higher price if I had to go to other listing options.

I dont know that i have the knowledge to build them without a parts list. I am compitent mechanically to build them. I don't have the knowledge of which caps to use. Solder, screws, some wood....that all seems super easy.

Not disagreeing with you on this either. Just wanted to see if there are any out there used

I have already reach out to him Budman. I was hoping to avoid that cost if I could. Nothing again DeanG at all. I just fear getting the itch to sell the speakers after dropping hundreds on crossovers and I wouldnt be able to get out what I have in them.

I have been 2nd in line on a few that have popped up for sale on here. So I figured I would try this route. I prefer the used route right now to keep the budget down. I have a tendancy to sell speakers frequently and I don't want to be upside down. My AA crossovers were said to be stock. I am in Wisconsin but I would pay to have them shipped. Thanks for looking.

I watched a buy big up a set of Heresy in Milwaukee. I think he paid $450 at auction for them (not pristine, but not bad). He listed them a few days later for $799. Wonder if this is the same guy.

Pretty darn clean! If I didn't just drop a bunch of money on Belles I would probably drive the 2.5 hours.

Is there any known info on how many Belles were produced in total or even how many Belles were produced each year. I know they are rare. I guess I am curious on how rare. I have these two Belles: lN249 and lN250 which apear to be from 1975. I am sure others would like production numbers on other models as well if you have them.

I don't know enough to build my own. I would only know enough to get the same spec caps that I have right now. From there I could solder them in. But I don't know anything about the transformers, etc. that are on the old ones. So I would either need my hand held or I should stick to either ordering a kit or the crossovers from Bob. On a side note, didn't DeanG get out of the business? I thought I read that at some point.

I looked at the crites stuff. I worked with in on my previous Chorus II. I was looking at the 4500/A crossover he offer which requires the tweeter change. That would leave me with my AA crossovers for historical and resale purposes. That would also leave my k77s with factory items in it. But that is a higher cost than just ordering caps from Crites. Any thoughts on this? Did you just redo the caps?

There is a Dynamic St-500 close to me. It is an old tube amp. Would it be something to play with to start? I know nothing about tubes. So I wouldnt want to invest much yet. It is the same one that is on ebay.

I just purchased a set of Klipsch Belles a few days back. I am still messing around with setup, placements, etc. Yes know room will play a role in all of this. Just looking to see what worked for others with Belles. Towed in? A lot? A little? Of the back wall or on? Close to corners or away? The room is in my finished basement. Walls and ceilings are drywalled and insulated. I only have an area rug and a large couch as notable items to help with sound down there. So, I know I will have to change that. Presently they are being powered by a Marantz 7011 as a preamp and a Parasound HCA-2205 amp. I haven't even had a chance to wrap my head around other options at this point. Ie may poke around at a tube amp at some point, but the Belles will serve mixed use. Likely 80-90% music and the rest would be home theater. Belles are 1975 with AA crossovers. They are all original. In the past I had RF7, Chorus ii, Chorus, xf48 in Klipsch. I have had other models outside of the Klipsch name as well. Nothing quite like the Belles though.

Can anyone tell me anything about this RARE integrated amp? I guess I am looking for real life info. Specs only say so much. I have attached a picture of its guts. It looks like it is built like a tank. Yes I know I could probably find something close to as good for less money. I like to have an interated amp around the house. This should but much nicer than my onkyo a7070. I keep getting drawn back to this thing. Probably because they are so hard to find.
