that's what I call a rumpus room. 35 -40` this AM. Sposed to hit 80`. I'm for that. need to go to the store. Need drugs. Coffee and tobacco. y'all missed the perfect chance to jump into Arivaca with both feet. The folks running the store decided to retire and sold it. Can't understand why. They've been there since '90. It's the hub of town. I worked there for a few years. Nice being able to walk to work. Like, right next door. I did not care for know every little thing that was going on in town. Was exactly opposite when I was at the bowling alley. Was gone from sunrise to sundown. Only way people knew I was there was the massive flowers beds, all along the street and I was on a corner. and loud music. I was considerate of the Baptist church that met in the old schoolhouse. Even mowed around the place so Pastor Rick's flock wouldn't get lost finding the door. Have another cuppa, Bill.... get more chatty

We did Halloween downtown. It's always a good time. Wife dressed as a witch, I went as is. Sarong, robe ... Guru/wizard/"the guy who invented pot" The hayride had 3 trailers loaded with kids. Good turnout then there was the impromptu party at the bar. We did not attend that. Things can get wild. MardiGras wild.

all of the town kids end up "downtown". We have a block party. I really like it. No trick or treaters at your door, unless they are friends looking for beverage. I'll make an appearance. No need to dress up. I might carry my "wizard stick".

I guess we like it too. No such thing as an overage. We make a salad of it. Not "put some in", as a primary ingredient

I'm good with licorice. The red stuff is not licorice to me, though. I saw an Aussie brand that did have licorice in the red. how about saladitos? They're an acquired taste. In 50 years, I haven't. I about tossed the first time I popped on in my mouth. Smarter now. there are some interesting items that are sold as "seeds" in HI. Oldtimer could elaborate better than me [I?}.

anyone home? well, the lights still work. Guess I'll put a pot of ocffee on. lit the furnace this AM. Odd how the woodstove smells the same as a furnace on the first use of the season. Don't think it got as cold as was predicted. It's fresh out there. Not sub-freezing Humidity dropped. Dew point is -2`F. if your chips are stale when you open them... put 'em in a bowl, exposed to some air. They'll crisp up. we are getting a few fires. Nothing like CA. What gets me is how they always investigate the cause. Usually starts with natural or human cause. if there has not been any lightning, that leaves human.

I laugh... mostly because "they" do follow forums.

sounds like a cool gig makes me wish I had pursed those "Sorry, wrong number" call from Raytheon I've gotten 2. They must want something of me. I have a [hobby] background in robotics... flying robots --- drones. That's kinda what they do there.... in a way.

I have to agree with @oldtimer the marshmallow circus peanuts are pretty bad. a few year ago, I grew melons... cantaloupe and honeydew. They crossed. Tasted like those gawdawful circus peanuts, only juicy.

feels like winter, for the moment. Sposed to freeze tomorrow AM. Note I did not say "frost". Dew point is around 20`. Won't get that cold. 65` for a high today .... brrrrrr dug out my long handles last night. And a pair of socks... Need to gather a little firewood. BorderPatrol always talk to me when I'm out. One was acting like I was in for a romantic evening. "Nope... not for effect...if I don't, the house will get cold. Kinda takes the fun out of it".

I'll say @dtel good to have ya back. How was the trip? @dirtmudd when I was in school, in Elkhart, you didn't have a choice about music. You were going to study it in one of 3 forms.... choir, band or orchestra. Is it the same there?

my cats have inspected mine pretty thoroughly. One went into the bass bin while in operation... she's deaf. That was before this.... They are content to sit on top now. oh ... the wife likes them, too. She find the bass bin interesting [though she has no idea what it is].

actually, the physics work in favor of larger being more efficient. Less surface per volume.
