  1. I'd agree that these look like version 2. From what I've read, it's not too difficult to modify version 2 into version 1. Longer port and couple changes to the crossover if I recall correctly.
  2. Not mine: Buy the lot for $500 and sell off all the other items individually. After you do that, you'll have a pair of KLF-10's for a bargain. I'd grab this if I was closer. Figuring $50 for the receiver $30 for the CD Changer $120 for the sub https://dubuque.craigslist.org/ele/d/home-stereo/6681452960.html Pair of klipsch KLF 10 tower speakersKlipsch KSW 300 15" down force subwooferYamaha RX-V890 Receiver Yamaha CDC-665 5 Disc Changer
  3. L1290/2's over here. ADS made nice speakers back in the day. Good luck with your search!
  4. That's a new one to me. Please cite your source for this.
  5. I know but I don't trust shippers to get them here without damaging them.
  6. I would be all over these if I had a way to get them here.
  7. I saw that a day too late. Looks like version 3 (short port tubes and shiny black horns).
  8. I've compared my KV4 to my KLF C7 (using CF3 mains) and I prefer the KLF C7 so yeah I'd agree with keeping it.
  9. Well, those are exactly what I need but the drive is just too far from Minneapolis.
  10. There's an Adcom GTP-400 on Audiokarma right now for $140. That's a lot of preamp for under $150.
  11. If there's no rubbing or scraping, I'm wondering if one of the leads just came loose and needs a spot of solder.
  12. **SOLD** These Epic CF4's were ran for several hours with a variety of music and home theater content to ensure they functioned without issues and they performed flawlessly. Cabinets have a few small marks but I have cleaned them and used black polish to touch them up. There are taller feet in the front to better angle them towards the listener.Version 3 models with the shorter port tubes and the colored wiring. Serial numbers are consecutive.Only issues I saw were as follows:1. The front baffle of the CF's have a black plastic finish that's basically a thin piece of plastic shrunk over MDF to give it a durable "formed" look. This plastic is coming loose on the right side of one speaker. Appears a person could squirt some glue under there, press and hold it to fix. I didn't bother, it's minor.2. One of the woofer's dust caps is a little loose. Would recommend a tiny amount of glue to solve.3. One grille is the original graphite color and has a badge. The other was recovered in standard Black at some point and does not have a badge. Personally I think they look better off but that's up to you.Local pickup/dropoff available in the greater Twin Cities areaCash only, no shipping, no trades (unless you have a pair of version 1 Klipsch Epic CF3's). Asking $800 **SOLD**
  13. Both version 1&2 had the OFC Monster style cable. Version 2 has the shorter ports and an altered crossover.
  14. What version CF4 were you comparing them to?
  15. I've watched several pairs of Fortes that were advertised in the Minneapolis area over the last year. I'd say $500 in mint condition would be a very good price in this market.
  16. I've got my Klipsch and I've also got Magnepan MG12QR and Martin Logan reQuest so I understand the desire for both types of speakers/sounds.
  17. What has the ability to make a pair CF3 look small? A pair of CF4. Just running the CF4's through their paces to ensure everything works before I go through and detail them.
  18. Version 1 CF4's? Yes please. But that 16 hour round-trip.....ugh. Wish these were closer. Be sure to get some good pics of that walnut finish.
  19. That would make an awesome home theater setup
  20. These were a very nice pair, wish I could've sold them to you. Interestingly, I've had several items listed on CL for weeks with no inquiries, no sales, nothing. This week though I've already sold 5 items, including the KLF-20's and a pair of KG 5.5's!
  21. This should be moved to the home theater forum.
  22. Surprised I still have these. Make me an offer and take them home.
