  1. I love putting together stuff like that - my go-to for budget built systems is Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up, etc. What was big $$ 10-30 years ago is often available today for pennies on the dollar (or free!). It's fun to see what you can put together on a budget.
  2. Very nice, wish this setup was closer to me.
  3. Seems like a pretty steep price... Then again, I don't really pay attention to what these are selling for. Interesting color though. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/ele/d/klipsch-classic-rf-7-in-dark/6589237716.html
  4. Did you try calling Klipsch to see if they had the parts?
  5. If I was closer, that would have been mine by now. I would love to have another CF3 as a center speaker.
  6. Since there are no exact surround speakers, from what I can see you're left to decide which of the following scenarios you want. 1. Use your CF4s as rears; this will be the best sound match and performance, not so good on space requirements. Your ears will be happiest with this option. 2. Use KV4 center channel speakers as rears. While the tweeter is a match, the dispersion pattern of a center is typically quite different than traditional speakers. This effect will be worsened if you position them vertically instead of horizontally. Additionally, the horn and the midrange are very different than what you find on the CF4 so despite the tweeter being the same, they are not an exact match. I own a KV4 and have done numerous comparisons. The KV4 tweeter does not sound identical to my CF3 and its due to the horn and (I'm guessing here) the crossover. 3. Use another Klipsch dedicated rear surround speaker. This will give you a speaker that is designed to handle surround duties but may not be an exact match for your CF4s up front. This can be helped if you're using a receiver that can apply equalization such as Denon's Audyssey or similar. Other than option #1, there are no perfect solutions so that's why I would encourage you to be willing to try out a couple different options. Obviously this is easier if you have friends willing to let you borrow some gear to try stuff out.
  7. What an awful, terrible problem to have 😆 Seriously though, with the tweeter on the CF3 & CF4 being unique there really isn't an exact match... unless you use another pair of CF3/4's in the rear. I'll be first in line if you're selling a pair of your CF4's though 😁 Side note, the KLF-C7 blends pretty well with the CF's so I would imagine that the KSP-S6 would be worth trying out.
  8. Yep, definitely version 3
  9. We were trying to help you ID them previously. Far too difficult to determine price without knowing if they are version 1,2 or 3.
  10. That's what I was thinking from the pics.
  11. What is the length of the port tubes? Also the serial number would help ID which version.

Just a bit too far for me otherwise I'd snag them. Love my V1 CF3's and another pair as rears in a HT setup would be fun.
  13. Damn, wish that was local. Great sub.
  14. Hello, I'm looking to buy a KV-4 center channel speaker. I'm in the Minneapolis area (western WI actually), willing to make a longer drive for the right speaker but also willing to pay for shipping. Send me some pics, a description and a price.
  15. I've used ink to touch those up before. They turn out pretty good looking.
  16. My 5.5's are getting sanded down as the previous owner didn't take care of the wood. The new finish will be a darker wood tone.
  17. Epic series are definitely the better sounding but harder to find and more money. You could always buy some 5.2 or 5.5 and use them until you find a pair of CF then sell the KG's.
  18. I have a pair of KG 5.5 that will be available soon. Or are you only interested in KG 5.2?
  19. Agreed. If it was local, I'd be picking it up to part out the system
  20. Hot Wheels, GI Joe, Adventure People, BMX bikes, skateboards...growing up in the early 80's these were all played with heavily for me and my brothers.
  21. I don't understand why people don't post multiple, clear pictures when trying to sell something. It ranks right up there with non-responsive sellers.
  22. I saw that this morning and laughed. It's a short drive away from me but not worth anywhere near his asking price in my opinion.
  23. Yep, Fosgate made some nice stuff back then. You could get this to match the speakers. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ele/d/fosgate-audionics-560-high/6512740591.html
  24. No other pictures or description? They remind me of something Atlantic Technology would build.
