  1. The 115 actually has better specs than the RSW-15. The 115 goes up to 122db and down to 18hz vs the rsw-15 (121 and 19hz). The 115 is more efficient of a speaker reaching those specs with 400-800watt peak, where as the rsw-15 needs 650-2400watts peak to reach those numbers (121db & 19hz) Also you stated music. What about HT? Would it just “blow it out of the water?” the term BLOW IT OUT OF THE WATER is a pretty strong statement. Seems a bit biased if you ask me. I have a hard time believing that one will be worlds better than the other one. If I had to GUESS, the differences would be negligible. I understand the main difference is the passive woofer vs the ported sub design. Perfect world perfect speaker is sealed. In A ported box the port has to be “tuned”. I was looking for an opinion based on YOU yourself testing them side by side. Not because you own them so they’re better opinion. I wanted somebody who is fully educated on both subwoofers, and had tested them both in the same controlled environment. And then giving a humble accurate non condescending opinion. I talked with a Klipsch product specialist. They plan on releasing an(MX/XL not sure naming convention) sub, that’s coming out in one size, that will be made in Hope AR, end of this year/beginning of next year. And I’m sure the price point will be 1k-1.7K
  2. @The History Kid And you have heard both side by side with exactly the same source materials?
  3. I just purchased the r115's. I like them. They definitely add great low end in HT. Music is great too. I had to change a few settings in my Denon 6400. Had to set my crossover for my L/C/R to 80hz instead of 40, after that it really brought them to life. I personally haven't heard the RSW-15's. Is there anyone who has honestly tested both of them side by side without a biased opinion? Just a straight up comparison using same source materials. I'd be hard pressed to believe that one would just blow the other out of the water.
  4. Any tip on how to setup a subwoofer for best sound? On sub itself and in the receiver too?
  5. What sub do you rock? And what settings do you use? Lowpass dial at what freq. and pass° switch at 0° or 180°? And gain is set at? Internal crossover? I’m trying to tweak these things best I can for more movie/TV/Gaming, but some music. Any info would be great. Thanks
  6. I’ll have to play around with them. All good info guys. Thanks.

    Getting Closer

Yes, it did help, tighter bass. I only have them 2-3” off of wall. All in all it’s a badass setup! I had to put soundproofing underneath a chunk of carpet under my subs those things were rattling the house. 😎👍🏼. any suggestions on what to use to isolate the subs off the floor? They sell something for this, but I’m trying to make it on my own.

    Getting Closer

Front Soundstage is Complete. Now onto getting my surrounds, and in-ceilings. Anybody have some RS-62ii for sale? I really think I’m going to do the In-walls for my surround backs. Something different.
  9. You think that getting a 12” and a 15” would be more beneficial than getting two 15”? Maybe best of both worlds?
  10. Just picked up a R115SW. Lots of bass. I dig it. Looks and sounds great. Just wondering if a 12” (R112SW) would have more “punchy” bass instead of low rumbling bass? Thoughts?
  11. Thanks y’all. This is why I like the forum. Great info.
  12. Found a R115SW. Sounds great. Glad I went with a 15”
  13. @Zen Traveler @The History Kid, while I may be doing nothing but getting taken for a Klipsch marketing gimmick with “bi-amping my speaker because I’m cheating myself out of the full 140wpc @ 2 channels driven. BUT, if I primarily use for HT, would’nt I be gaining more watts per channel. At best it’s 50-60 Watts per channel with all channels driven? Well that be a full 50-60w to the highs and a full 50-60w to the mids and lows if I bi-amped. If I didn’t bi-amp I’d be sharing 50-60w for whole Rf-7ii. As I was disconnecting for single wire setup, I thought about it more. I do 75% HT/PS4 and 25% music. I feel I’d benifit more with bi-amping for the HT application. Thoughts?
  14. Not disputing the fact that it could not be helpful. I hear more clarity really. Not volume. Seems to not be trying as hard. It is 2 ch @ 140, and at best it’s probably 50-60wpc with no amped. Your logic is sound, but Nobody likes being called out. I will return to single configuration.
  15. My Reciver can be configured in multiple different ways. It recognizes that it’s one speaker bi-amp’d. Denon X6400H
  16. @spcrowley hey neighbor. I live up in atlanta. Any chance that Acurus Amp is still for sale?

    Rf 7 ii

Got both mine for $800. Offer Up
  18. Anyone heard the Parasound PA260? Looking to hookup Hersey II’s to it.
  19. Well shit, ain’t that a *****. So the expert suggestion on this forum is to??? Put jumpers back in, and just run one wire to speakers? I noticed clarity to my ear with running 2 sets of wires to my RF-7’s. Bi-amping/Bi-wiring or whatever I’m doing. Thanks for clearing the air. I’ve watched YouTube vids from audiophiles and they can neither confirm, nor deny benefits of bi-amp/wiring. It seems they deemed marketing strategy. But for me I hear difference.
  20. @Zen Traveler so bi-amping a speaker doesn’t do anything? I wonder why Klipsch made 2 sets of binding posts? Must be because they don’t do anything. I called a Klipsch representative to confirm this will indeed yield better sound. He confirmed this to be true. I noticed the clarity and volume to be greater when I bi-amped my RF-7ii’s.
  21. It will, and you should be able to configure the receiver to bi-amp your RF-7ii’s. Makes them sound really good. Mine does 140Watts 2 channels driven at 8 ohms.
  22. @akdave what subs are those?
