Great setup! What sub is that?

    RC-64II

@teaman You ever see r112, or r-115 subwoofers on adorama?
  3. They pair well with RF-7’s?
  4. Looking for two in-wall speakers for my surround backs. Any idea what’s ones would match RF-7ii/RC-64ii’s?

    RC-64II

I’m using a basic bookshelf center channel that comes in a 5.1 klipsch surround box. This will be a little bit of an upgrade 👌🏽

    RC-64II

BOOM!!!! Just bought the RC-64ii Looked on audiorama website, thanks again @teaman. It was listed as $599 plus $49 shipping. Total cost was going to be $648. I researched further on a U.S. wide craigslist search, and I found one in Mission Vejo Cali for $500. Looked to be in good conditions, But they didn’t respond and it would’ve been a roll of dice if they would’ve shipped. Most likely it would’ve cost more than $50 to ship. So I called (instead of online order) audiorama and was able to talk them down to $550 and they waved the shipping. So I did find a RC-64ii around $500 with a 30 day return policy and 90 day warranty. Money I saved will be going towards subwoofers! Goes to show, just be patient. Deals are out there. I gotta say thank you to all who have helped me with comments/links/ideas to help this dream of a 7.2.4 become closer to reality. 😎👍🏼 Now hurry up and get here!

@teaman have you heard the 64iii vs the 64ii?

    Thanks for the heads up

    RC-64II

It seems as though the center channels are scarce. Same with the subwoofers.

    RC-64II

If I can’t find RC-64ii for $500 or less, I’ll just order new.

    Black ash. Lowest price possible

    RC-64II

Anyone know of a RC-64II center channel for sale?

I know that area of the country well. Will try to follow through with this. Thanks

    Amps

Exactly, I bi amped my RF-7ii’s for now, but I’d like my front sound stage (L/C/R if not the wholet 5.1) to be getting 200watts continuous. I’m a deal hound. I’ll wait until something comes by at a good price. If you don’t mind me askin, where and how much did you get the XPA-5? I’m trying to budget ballpark. I think center channel is the next purchase. Or, center and subwoofer. At this point I may just get one 15”. But if I do that the wife will see the sheer size of that woofer and say hell No 2 a second. So it’s either get 2 right out the gate or be okay with just having 1 for the foreseeable.

@wvu80 RC-64II. And 115sw. Those are my main goals. I wanted to order the newer version of center channel, but budget is forcing my decsion.

I have 145 Watts coming out of my receiver. The speaker go plenty loud. Great detail in HT. I mainly use them for HT

Okay, so no need for an amp then. I would take a RC-64II at a good price

I have Klipsch RF-7II’s. Looking for Klipsch RC-64III. Two Klipsch R115 subwoofers. And, two RP-250 surrounds. I would do shipping. More interested in speakers first, but if I can find good deal on a high powered 2-3 channel amp then I’d buy it as well.
  19. I’m in need of a 2-3 channel amp (200-300w RMS). RC-64II center channel. And RS-52II or RP-250 surrounds. Also, I’m looking for 15” subwoofers. 115’s if at all possible.

Looking for a 2 or 3 channel amp (200-300W RMS) that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Anyone know somebody that is selling used amps? Used speakers?
  21. @wvu80 I just purchased a Denon 11.2 X6400H(140-145w RMS). I chose this due to all 3 new formats out of the box, and eARC coming in future FW update. Plus, I can pull off 7.2.4 without having to get an extra amp. I will probably get a parasound/emotiva amp for my Towers at some point, but I like it’s a one stop shop, and enough power for what I use it for(for now) I have a pair of RF-7II’s and that’s about it. Haha. I did have a put the box Klipsch 5.1 setup which I ditching and getting the RC-64III and either 2 subs with it, or 1 sub, and 2 surrounds. I took my old front L/R’s and put them in my surround backs. So currently I have a 7.1 with 2 RF-7’s and a out the box klipsch bookshelf set. Need to upgrade. I do like clear surround. But great bass would kick *** too. Not sure. Like I mentioned above. I stream most content which is in 2ch stereo. But I do steam a lot of Netflix/iTunes/DTV now which has newer audio immersive formats. Tough call.
  22. My gut tells me to get 2 subs. But my wallet says one sub and 2 surrounds. We’ll see. Maybe this tax return will help pay for the extra sub 😎👍🏼 That’s the cool/fun part of HT. You add or take away as needed. I’m working my way up to building a 7.2.4 system. Time and money. Hahaha
  23. I have small book shelf surrounds, wonder how much better the sound is coming from a bi-direction surround vs mono-directional speaker? I’m sure it comes down to just quality of speaker
  24. Have been emailing with a Klipsch representative, and he informed me that the RP-250S is basically taking the place of the RS-42III. It would pair best with the RF-7III’s and RC-64III. He he explained this is due to the rubberized tweeter material. Hope this info helps y’all.
