  1. That is all he said. I assume he was implying he would report me to Ebay. I told him his bid was obvious and he is the one that should be careful. I also told him his "Rare" White Oak was not a rare color without a special order from Klipsch (with a special order receipt) He either made the White Wash / Light Oak combo or he bought them that way. White Wash color is all White. Light Oak has a Light Oak box with a Black front Motor board. I also said there is no such thing as a CF-4 +. I told him I was just helping him clean up his ad and not harassing him. He has not replied and I have not heard from Ebay. lol It pisses me off when guys try to rip off people with "rare" speaker color combos and adding a "+" to make them sound like buyers are getting something extra. The guy is trying to boost the price based on a false bid and a poorly worded listing that he used or made up.
  2. I called the guy out on his bids via message. I said he bought them three times now. Also mentioned I was still confused on the "White Oak". He also called these CF-4 +. He replied with "Be Careful" lol
  3. 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander (wife's SUV) with seats down fit: (2) CF-3 or (2) Forte II or (2) KLF-20
  4. Great unit, good price. This is a deal for this AVR. I just got a SC-LX501 for my son for Xmas. Good luck with your sale.
  5. As you see from my previous pics, the K-63 and K-64 are identical. The only difference from what I have recently been told is the size of the magnet under the center plate with the hole in it. The good news is we can swap the diaphragm assembly to a non working K-63-KN or vise versa. I did not intend to offend you, just trying to help out Epic owners that find themselves with a bad diaphragm since these are almost non-existent.
  6. The silver plate in the center of the driver is a cover for the magnet disk. I do not have a depth gauge so my measurement is not exact but the hole is almost twice as deep on the K-64-KN as it is on the K-63-KN. The K-63-KN has a thicker magnet that provides greater output. I will not mention names without permission but it has been confirmed.
  7. Front of the diaphragm / phase plug assembly.
  8. Back of the diaphragm / phase plug assembly removed from the snout.
  9. Here is some information regarding the difference between the K-63-KN (CF-3 & CF-4) vs K-64-KN (CF-2 & KV4) as discussed in some other threads. It was stated they are the same but they are not. Although the two appear to be exactly the same except for the color and the screen on the snout of the Silver K-64-KN, they are different. The K-64-KN has less output than the K-63-KN due to the size of the driver magnet. The K-64 has a smaller magnet. The good news is both the drivers use the same diaphragm and are interchangeable. The aluminum diaphragm is very fragile and a pain to remove. More good news is the diaphragm / phase plug assembly are also interchangeable and an easy swap. Trust me, don't fiddle with changing the diaphragm, just swap the whole assembly. Here are some pics of what I did last night. I had a bad K-63-KN diaphragm that I swapped assemblies with a good K-64-KN. If you have questions, I will try to answer.
  10. Pic of the front of the phase plug assembly.

  13. Hi dtel, Thank you for your reply, The above post was a follow up to my original questions regarding the Light Oak color. The two pics above your post shows the original "before pic" and my refinished "after pic". The color turned out very close using Varathane Summer Oak., followed by 2 coats of Behlen "Jet spray" Satin Lacquer. I wanted to follow up so others could match the color if they decide to refurbish their speakers. This follow up will allow it to be found when searching here. Thanks again, crunchman
  14. Good shape, great price. Good luck with your sale.
  15. I just messaged the guy....lol New message to: foxy3799 The boxes are made of MDF with oak veneer. The color of your box is Light Oak. The front baffle is the Whitewash color. These must be so rare that you have the only version ever made. foxy3799 They are original and rare i said white oak as thats what they are made of. crunchman12002: I have never seen this color combination. Your tag says Whitewash but you have light oak box? Not sure these are original? The Whitewash color has an entirely white box to match the front
  16. The front baffles do come off. You have to pull the grill plugs out, there are a total of 6 screws holding the baffle to the box. The front baffle is made of 1 3/8" particle board. The front is covered with what I think is melamine (has same texture) but not sure Melamine can be formed the way it is. Almost like a plastic or textured Thermo Foil.
  17. Looks like a Whitewash front on a Light Oak box to me. Not sure why someone would do that.
  18. These might not be right unless special ordered? The tag says "Whitewash". The brochure shows a "Whitewash" version that is all white. http://images.klipsch.com/Brochure_940900_epic_635164772854408000.pdf
