  1. I own both of them. The 15 has a lot of punch (a lot more than the 12), you'll like it very much on music. My neighbor has a VTF-3. He brought it at home and we made some comparison with the RSW-15. He said he loved the 'punch' of my RSW- 15 better than his VTF-3. Good Luck.
  2. "My guess is it would take about 5 RSW15 subs to match a pair of Ultras at 20hz."Your guess ?? How about using the crystal ball? This message has been edited by peterm on 08-14-2002 at 09:48 AM
  3. I have two RSW-15s. Hey Klipsch what's going on. Seriously, I think it's time to call my dealer if I can return them, it's not that I'm not happy with them, but just the thought that I've been lied to. This message has been edited by peterm on 07-02-2002 at 09:38 AM
  4. sorry, i forgot to read your signature.
  5. Kain64, I think RF-7 in maple is a beauty. Never buy them in black (no offense), IMO. RSW-15 also come in different flavors (RSW-12 comes only in black).
  6. My 2 year-old's Barney DVD has a bitter LFE mix than this movie (strong punch for a kiddy movie). I should have rented it first before buying. Definitely this will be put at the bottom of my DVD rack.
  7. I purchased this movie (Black Hawk Down) yesterday. The war scenes are amazing but the sound track is NOT that good. If you are looking for a movie to show off your killer sub, this is NOT the movie. There are more than 2 hours of non-stop action, gun fire and explosions but my dual RSW-15 felt sleepy and hungry. It just doesn't have the sub intesity of the The Matrix or Saving Private Ryan. But the movie itself is nice. IMO. This message has been edited by peterm on 06-18-2002 at 09:38 AM
  8. I have the "Sade Lovers Live" on DVD and CD. It's nice. You'll enjoy it. You might also wanna try the "Sade Live" on DVD. This message has been edited by peterm on 05-30-2002 at 12:32 PM
  9. Hey Zeke, why would'nt you just stay at home, relax and enjoy your 35 watts OPTIMUS subwoofer and please don't ever forget again to take your medicine.
  10. Let me just clarify. The component and S-video are for VIDEO connection and the optical/coaxial is for AUDIO.
  11. Hey mOOn, you're not done yet. How about replacing your RSW-12 with an R$W-15 ? The 12 is no match with the 15. I owned both the RSW-12 and 15 and I like the the BIG punch of the RSW-15 $$$.
  12. Maybe Klipsch should ask some advice from Bose engineers.
  13. The authorized Klipsch dealer is in Orange County, CA (Sorry, they don't want me to publish their store on the forum). They are selling the new RF-7s pair for $1450 cash. They gave me $1350 for being a loyal customer. They won't make profit for shipping. You will pay the shipping charge upon arrival of the merchandise (to the truck driver). I'm sorry, Zandern, Kenratboy I've got a "Server Error, no third party relaying allowed" error when trying to send you a private message. Send me a private message with your email addresses if you're interesed. This message has been edited by peterm on 04-10-2002 at 01:34 PM
  14. I got my cherry RF-7 for $1350 (no tax if paid in cash) from a local Klipsch dealer, brand new.
  15. I have an RSW-15 for about 2 weeks now. My music room is fairly big and I usually put the volume level of the RSW to around 11'o clock. However, after listening for a while to several loud music or movies with loud bass, I noticed the volume knob on the RSW changed to 3'o clock position, increasing the bass volume even more. It happened a lot of times. Would it be possible that the sub vibration caused the knob to turn by itself? Or would anybody recommend a ghostbuster?
