  1. Assuming you meant a center speaker, the KV 1 seems like it would be a good match since it has the same Dhorm tweeter. There are some available for sale: https://www.hifishark.com/model/klipsch-kv-1.
  2. Do you mean a center speaker or something else?
  3. From the PWK Birthday Bash schedule on https://www.klipschmuseum.org/ March 9 - 6:30 - 9:00 pm - Jammin' with Jubilees at the Paul W. Klipsch Visitors Center, bring your playlist!
  4. That will explain some of the performance gap, but certainly not all of it. As I said, most of the UG Jubilee owners who were at JubFest had better drivers like the TADs and were making comparisons to what they had at home. I'm not suggesting you shouldn't try the Axi2050 on your current Jubilee. It's certainly worth exploring if you can get enough of an improvement from your current investment. Just don't expect a new compression driver to turn your Jubilee into the equal of the Heritage Jubilee. To find a Klipsch dealer, try using the dealer locator on the website (https://www.klipsch.com/dealers). There are Certified Heritage Dealers in Texas. The locator shows which one they are and some of the CH dealers list what Heritage Products they have to demo. I don't know how current that demo product info is. It's worth calling them and see. I'd offer to have you over for a listen, but I'm not anywhere near Texas.
  5. I assume the 2-way UG Jubilee in the side-by-side comparison at JubFest had the "stock" K-691 CD. Below is a picture I took that day of the UG Jubilee at JubFest. You can't see the part number, but it looks like a K-691. Also, note that even those UG Jubilee owners who had upgraded HF drivers thought the Heritage Jubilee was a considerable improvement. It was pretty much unanimous among the JubFest attendees. Don't know if any of them had 3-way Jubilee.
  6. My apologies for continuing to engage with the unhinged competitive products promoter and bloating this thread. In my defense, it gets my blood boiling when someone who hasn't even been in the same room with the new Jubilee thinks they know what that speaker can or can't do. I decided to call him out on it. I should have left it at that. I'll close with saying that the Heritage Jubilee is a considerable improvement over the Underground Jubilee. If you can find a place to audition it, you should. It might be a good reason to go to the upcoming PWK Birthday Bash on March 8-11 in Hope. 🙂
  7. Owning K-402s and knowing what Heritage Jubilee sounds like are two different things. I was surprised how much of an improvement the new Jubilee is over the Underground Jubilee. Both have the same K-402. I heard them side by side. Don't assume you know what it sounds like just because you've heard the horn. You are also speaking based on assumptions without direct knowledge.
  8. That is incorrect. There are multiple Certified Heritage Dealers where you can audition the Jubilee. You do not have to "buy blind". Also, I like my speakers to look like wood furniture.
  9. You're correct. I don't. That's why I used the words "I doubt" instead of "I know". It was based on a look at the spec sheet for the SM96. I wasn't saying the Danleys are not capable. I am just doubting your assertion that those Danelys will outrun "even the large Klipsch" which includes new Jubilee. However, have you heard the Heritage Jubilee?
  10. As Roy mentioned, they will go on the K-402 as is. However, you will have to figure out the DSP PEQ settings yourself (unless Roy feels like sharing 🙂).
  11. You could get close on the HF with Celestion Axi2050 drivers. That will give you on-axis HF performance similar to the Heritage Jubilee but as @babadono mentioned, it will still beam at high frequencies without Roy's phase plug. However, there is no way to get the same LH performance, which the Heritage Jubilee takes to a whole new level. You can read about our side by side listening experience with both versions from some of us who attended the last JubFest here: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/204026-a-visit-with-chief-bonehead-and-the-jubilee/.
  12. After admiring all the lamps in this thread, it occurred to me that after my single Belle project (can't discuss it here) that I have a single K-500 horn that's now begging to be turned into a lamp. 🙂 For those of us that don't have a friend who can turn an adapter for the horn throat, any suggestions on what a relatively unskilled person like myself can do to adapt the horn throat? Thanks.
  13. I don't see such a button in either a mobile or desktop browser. I suspect that this may be something that the mods or admins have available and the person who suggested this does not realize that regular members do not.
  14. No worries. It is the way of such things on forums. I was just amused how my offhand remark to prevent comments had the unintended consequence of spawning a sideline conversation instead. 🙂
  15. To be clear, I asked no question about hiding wires. When I had taken the pictures of the La Scala on the platform I hadn't released additional slack so that I could tuck the wire behind. I only mentioned it to prevent the "why is the speaker wire hanging like that" questions. I guess that backfired in a big way. 😁
  16. I'm not sure you can uses the Palladium subs as passive subs as is. They have an integrated DSP, so I don't think the response will be correct. Perhaps using an outboard DSP like a MiniDSP might allow you to do it, if you can measure and devise corrections.
  17. I'd really like that Audio Palette EQ but probably couldn't justify what it would cost.
  18. Yes, they helped a great deal. The risers got the HF cabinets to ear height. That put the MF/HF horns on-axis vertically with my listening position. The rear La Scala now sound better, and the rear soundstage height seems correct. It was a larger improvement than I was expecting. I'm hearing things I've never noticed before in the rear channels of some multichannel recordings. On one live jazz SACD the echo of the upfront instruments off the back wall of the club is noticeable and very realistic. It was definitely worth the expense/effort. (Yes, I fixed the speaker cable after taking the pictures. I needed to free some wire slack behind the equipment rack first.)
  19. Don't worry about losing anything with the Axi2050. My Heritage Jubilee (and a center speaker that can't be discussed here) have that HF driver and I can tell you it's fantastic driver once it's EQ'd flat with the DSP.
  20. My college fraternity had a pair of raw birch Heresy for party speakers. They was the first Klipsch speakers I ever heard. They were awesome for parties and listening.
  21. From the Klipschorn product page on the website (https://www.klipsch.com/products/klipschorn): "The Klipschorn's low frequency horn has been redesigned and is now fully enclosed. This eliminates the need for the loudspeakers to be positioned snuggly in a corner." The enclosed back just eliminates the need to be tightly in the corner. The speakers still needs to be near the corner since the walls act as the final extension of the bass horn.
