So finally I'm thinking about buiying those RP-280f towers instead. However, is there a big difference to the RP- 260f ? I'm listening to vinyl mostly, sitting quite close to the towers, So I'm not sure, if there's gonna be a big difference. Regarding the amp, I'm torn betweeen the Marantz PM 7005 or PM6006. What are the experts recommendations? Thanks for your help guys, it's highly appreciated.

Funny thing. I've asked the same question on Amazon and I was told that the MArantz PM 5005 is "too weak" for those speakers. I was told to upgrade to a Marantz PM 6006, but to be honest, I'm not really sure, if that's gonna make a big difference? Any thoughts on that?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and would like to hear your opinion on this. I'm planning to buy a pair of 260 F's, as I've heard and read so many good things about those bad boys. I'm listening mostly to vinyl and I love the heavy stuff. My only concern might be the amp, I'm using for the moment (Marantz PM5005). I don't have the budget for a new one right now and I'm not sure if this one will do the job. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for your help!
