  1. Thought of mounting when I first got the tv, but can't do it because there's a window behind the tv. It took me forever to find that inovex... I got it for $70, now it's $211!!! btw, My rp440c in on auction for bid on ebay, if anyone wants one, or if you know anyone. Started at 0.99 with $45 shipping for 10 days, all I really need is $245, then I'd get the $325 rp450c!
  2. I thought of that when I had the rc62 for a day, thing is, I'd be afraid to do it, because I have that Sharp 80UQ17U tv, and being I paid $3300 for it, I wouldn't want to chance anything crazy happening! I put my 440c at $325 not including shipping, if it doesn't sell I'll list as auction when it ends. The 450c for $325 is free shipping!!
  3. There's a chip and dent rp450c for $325!! I think I'll jump all over that when I sell the 440c!
  4. The Walmart link is the one! The thing that stops anything higeer than 8 inches is the lip openings, sliding them in from the sides would work, but there's bars that go from bam to front which block them from making it in. So even though it's 9 inches per shelf, it's really less than 8 because of those factors. That dayton sounds like it would be nice, but I'd have to check the hight. btw, I put my rp440c up on Ebay, do you think $400 or best offer is a fair deal, it only being 30 days old?
  5. Can'j do a pic, no one is home to take it, price of being visually impaired! I have the Inovex 83 inch tv stand, with center on shelf below 80 inch tv, kf28 towers on either side of stand, which is awesome spacing I think! Another thought I had, tell me what you think, since I heard rc62 and loved it, and you've got the rc64 which is amazing I'm sure, what about the rc52? That would fit!!
  6. You're awesome!! I had a feeling.. the 62 II was 8 inchs as well, and didn't fit, but sounded night and day better than the 440c! What would you do if you were in my place, 450c or kc25, unless there's an older model you know of with bigger drivers and hight below 8! I know for sure 6.81 (450c) will fit, because my av is 6.81! The kc25 is 7.25 I think, which scares me a bit..
  7. I agree with you 100%! I'm using the kf28s with the rp, and everything sounds great accept for the voices. My issue with rc64 or even 62 is the hight, so I think they're out. unless the original 64 is less than 8 inches high.. what do you think of this, either get the rp450c, or go with the matching kc25 center, I think both have 5.25 drivers, rp has 4 instead of 2. Now I just hope noone through out my rp440c box...
  8. I heard the rc62 for a day, but had to go with rp because of hight, and even on the first day, the 62 sounded better than the 440c. No iisues with scrachy voices. I played tons of different movies, and it just doesn't sound right. I think it is the 4 inch drivers. I just put my av in 2.1.2 settup, and it sounds better that when it's on 5.1 with 440c! I would return it, but it's past the 30 days on the ebay I think. I'm going to get the 450c as soon as I can fund it. Ma=e I should sell the 440c?
  9. I'll test it today with movies, and report back!
  10. Check this out, I think I fixed it!! I turned the system treble from 0 to -5!! Also in tode, for some reason, my bass was at +10, put that to 0. Maybe it was the treble?
  11. You know what's weird? The more I listen to the 440c, the more I wish I had gotten the 450c! I don't know if it's the smaller drivers or not, but every movie I play, voices come out with this "little scrachy screaching." When I put it on 2 channel and play through the towers, voices sound amazingly better! At first I figured the 440c needed breaking in, but after about a month, still sounds the same. What do you think?
  12. Hey guys, I read somewhere that you should always keep levels below 0, never put them in positive numbers. If that's the case, what should I set my levels at? I don't have the mic or a psl, so going by ear! My pioneer vsx832 goes from -12 to +12 for scale. I figure -6 for klipsch towers, -3 for klipsch rp440c, and -6 for surrounds? What do you think.
  13. Guys, the system sounds amazing with the icon kf28s!!! First time I turned on amazon music, and put on John Williams Across The Stars theme from Star Wars episode 2, I was shocked at how awesome it sounded, felt like I was sitting with the whole London crew live. Next I tried some movies in 5.1, wo! I was afraid it wouldn't match well with 440c, but it has surpassed my expectations!
  14. Here's what I did for now.. I had a unused $400 bestbuy card. I bought the dual 8 inch Icon kf28s! I figure if for some reason I don't like how they pair with the 440c, I'll sell these down the road and just get the rp280fs. It was a giftcard someone gave me, so you can't beat free!! And at this point, 2 klipsch towers, although from a different line, is better than having nothing!
  15. I agree. There's a chip and dent listing on Ebay right now, they have over 10 280fs for $319 each!! Amazing price, but I don't have $638 now either... I put some more baseball stuff up for sale, maybe I'll get lucky?! I want the RP280s for sure. Right I'm just using 440c with out mains, no movie watching until I get the towers! btw,
  16. Nothing really close to me, as far as I can tell. Looks like cloest stuff on Craiglist is about 50 miles.
  17. I would have to }it until August. I'm in Northampton PA btw, but I can't drive anywhere being visually impaired, so would have to get anything I buy shipped. I was thinking of getting the Icon kf28s, at least until later when I can upgrade to RP280s. Would you go with those, or the used ones you mentioned?
  18. Well, my old Onkyo bookshelfs died today, litterally no sound! So now I need to get tower speakers next week when I get paid, no time to save money. I've got $400 to spend... what should I do?
  19. True!! I just saw on Ebay the 280s for $319 each, but it's chip and dent, I never bought something like that before, but if I had the $638 at this moment, I might hve been tempted, aren't the 280s normally $1200 for the pair?
  20. I was going to go with the 250fs, but figured since I hve the middle of the line 440c, I should do the 260f! Lol, don't know if that's good logic or not, figured the 280fs might be a bit overkill.. still going back and forth a bit I must admit! Once I'm ready to go guess I'll have to make up my mind between 260 and 280! Either way, I'm sure they'll look amazing flanking my 80 inch tv!
  21. This is the worst part, waiting! I've got up for auction 2 1964 Mantle cards, hoping I get $200 for each, then next payday in May, I should be able to get them!
  22. Well, I can't believe it, but the center 440c sounds even better now than it did when I first got it! I guess it's fully broken in! Now, of course, I can't wait to get the towers! I'm going with the RP260f, as soon as I can swing the money.
  23. Huge Yanks fan! If you want to hear something really awesome and funny, 4 years ago I made my firs qive call to xm radios mlb channel, I recorded it and uploaded it. If you google, "me live on xm mlb channel yourlisten.com" you'll get to hear it! By the time I was done, they told me I was the caller of the year lol! Yanks are 7-7 right now, slow start, huge expectations for the year!
  24. Ok. I'd most likely go with the 250f then. That $199 each for the icons caught my eye... or in my case, my ears! I've got an autographed bat by Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez of the Yanks up for sale, so if I can get a sale, I won't have to wait until August to buy the towers! Wish me luck! lol.
  25. Yeah, if I did get the Klipsch kf28 speakers, amazon has them for a bit more, wouldn't buy at bb! My thing was being afraid to mix RP center with the towers from that Icon line, specks and driver size seems nice qhan the RP260fs, nd a nice bit cheaper!
