  1. I saw at bestbuy today Klipsch Icon kf28, 2 8 inch drivers, $199 each. Looked like a nice deal, but since I have RP center, I was afraid to mix!
  2. I'm going to get the tower speakers for my mains when I have the extra money. You think the RP250f would go nice with the 440c? I think towers would go nice with 440c, since my center is on the shelf, which would be level with floor standers.
  3. Good job! I'm a Yanks fan, haven't missed a radio broadcast since I was 8 in 1998, innings maybe, but always tuned in!
  4. Yes! After my mlb all-star game trip in July, I'll be ready to get some fronts by September! Lol, The Hyatt Place dc national mall hotel isn't cheap, and I booked a 880 foot suite, so all money goes towards that and the 3 game tickets (I called the mlb office, explaining I'm visually impaired and like to sit behind the netting at games, they're going to give me 3 tickets that they order for clients, pretty cool stuff!!) So no more spending for me.
  5. Great movie, anotheer awesome one is Like Sunday, Like Rain, a title that when you find out why it's called that near the end of the movie, you'll say, "why didn't I figure that out!" If you like laughs, also check out The Super with Joe Pesci.
  6. I don't hear no difference, and my ears are amazing! These Onkyo fronts must be really good, because they blend in nice, and the center doesn't drown anything out. Got it centered perfect with the 80 aquos. Lol, my mom wants to watch a ton of movies tomorrow. btw, The Impossible is an amazing movie if you've never seen it.
  7. Did the auto, they set them all to "6." Sounds great to me!! btw, this speaker even set at 80 hz, and "small," puts out amazing bass!! I had forgotten to turn on sub, and thought it was on!!
  8. Speaker is amazing!! I don't have a PSL meter, should I keep all speakers at the 0 sound level? The VSX832 goes from 0 to 12 on the sound level.
  9. Counting down round 2!! I'm thinking since this one is 26 inches long, and I want to get it as centered with the 80 inch tv as possible, I'm going to move Ps4 and Tivo box all the way to the left next to the AV, then simply slide the rp440 in from right to left, makes it easier since all the power strips are on the left side and behind anyway. Right now for some odd reason, I've got my AV at one end, and ps4 and Tivo at the other. I'm so excited! Lol, having the RC62 for a minute was like a in house test!
  10. Would the RP160s work well with the RP440c?
  11. Yes, Friday FeDex!! I'll let you know how it sounds! On another note, my couch is against the wall where the surround speakers are. How high should they be up on the wall? I only hve a 2 seater couch, so I hve them spaced about the length of it. When others watch movies with me, we bring in recliners, but they are out of the back surrounds a bit, can't be helped because it's only a 5.1 setup.
  12. I did plug the rc62 in to hear it, and was blown away by the quality!! The RP440 has the same specks in terms of power, and it's a newer model all around. Should be getting it tomorrow! Lesson is never underestimate pip openings!
  13. Hi! Being new to Klipsch myself, I just got a center channel. I was going to get the RC62, but it's too high for my shelf, so went with the RP440c. The big difference between the RP440c and 450 is the length, and 4 4" driver on the 440c. Sound specks are exactly the same in terms of power, so pick which ever length and hight is best for you. 5.67 high for rp440 and 8 high for 450. I did listen to the RC62 before sending it back, and it's amazing!!! I didn't have my sub on, and testing it with Star Wars Episode 1 lightsaber duel, I thought the sub was on, that's how much a great center can improve your sound!
  14. A little bad news guys, the 8 inchs did fit, but couldn't get it in the shelf because of the lip opening! Tried to slide it in from the side, which would work but there's unremovable bars. I'm returning it, UPS pickup tomorrow, and I went with the 5.6 inch high RP440c, for those who have that, did I make a good choice?
  15. Yes!! Coming USPS, I get my mail around 17 or 11 am. I'm going to DC in July for the mlb all-star game, so this is the last buy until after that!! Buy Sep 3, I'll have enough to get the RB81s! Then again, the side Onkyos aren't bad, so if it sounds good with the new center, I'll leave it! My small 175 watt peak center right now gets drowned out by my left and rights.
  16. You were right, what I meant was should I put the center on top with the tv, as in, put it in front or stick it below the tv on the first shelf down. Since it's 8 inches high, it most likely would block some of the bottom of the screen, I think the only way I put it up top is if the length is an issue with all my equipment I've got. Roku, tivo, ps4, AV. Lol, the space between AV and Tivo on the other side is wide, but I haven't measured it! I'll find out tomorrow! Stand is 83 ioches long, so I think I'll be able to shift stuff as needed. I got this Inovex tempered glass monster for $70 3 years ago, now it's $230!!
  17. Oh know wouldn't do that, tv is the 80 inch sharp Aquos!! btw, should I keep the crossover at 80 hz, or lower the center since it goes down to 57. I have a 12 inch 300 watt sub, so figured I should leave it as is.
  18. What do you think of this, the tv stand is 18.3 deep, with qe shelf only 9 inches high, if I move qe tv back a bit on top, I can put the speaker on top with the tv, with the two 5 driver left and right Onkyos at each end.
  19. I'll be getting the RC62 delivered tomorrow!! Can't wait to hook it up. Thanks again guys for all your help. I plan on getting the RB81s for my fronts when I have the extra $. Now I just need some popcorn
  20. Just checked, $549. Amazon has it for $292 and another seller on amazon new for $324. I can't buy until Tuesday morning so I'll get it from them, unless I keep checking around. My local bestbuy doesn't have it.
  21. Ah, see, I can't drive, being visually impaired, so I usually do all my shopping online. My family is great, but they won't drive me around just to pay lower price, plus, I'm not a fan of buying used, don't know why, just a thing I guess. Lol.
  22. I'm pretty sure I'll get Rc62, the RC64 is 8` The RC64, although 8 inches high as well, would be great, but is out of my budget right now. Amazon has the Rc62 for $324.
  23. Thanks, I just bought this AV, so I'll be using it for a while. I had an Onkyo AV that blew its decoder chip in a year! I'm a video game guy and movie guy, as well as baseball and other sports, not much music playing, huge movie library, I look forward to testing out the RC62 with some lightsaber duels.
  24. My setup is: Pioneer VSX832, and I've got a Polk PSW 12 inch. Right now I'm using this TruAudio center that's only 175 watts peak, so I'm very excited to get the rc62! There's a pair of rf62 speakers on Ebay for $299 I think I saw, but can't swing them and get new center. Thanks guys for all your help! As I like to say about video games graphics, "sound is my graphics."
  25. Yes, and I like the port on the front. I was just worried about hight, but the specks on the 83 inovex says 9 high, so it should fit. Having the 80 inch sharp aquos is amazing, but not having a great center throws it all off for me, and being visually impaired, my ears are great!
