  1. @Onebean Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your new project. Cornwalls as your first Klipsch set is the way to go! The difference in quality and (ahem) volume levels will astonish you. Come on, we want to see the current setup, and pics of the parts!
  2. @Coytee It's probably the faulty GFCI. I had the same thing happen with our hot tub. It stopped working one day, and the circuit was hot through the breaker, but nothing in the 115 plug outside. Called my father in law and told him the symptoms (ex-Marine and electrician). He immediately told me to look for ANY tripped GFCI breaker on any outlets within the house. The tripped breaker was in the master bath outlet, at the other end of the house. I couldn't believe that someone would wire the bath, and then pull from there to one lonely outlet nearly 100 feet away in the outside pool enclosure! Pushed the stupid reset in, and the hot tub came on. Idiotic.
  3. They don't look THAT bad. They just need some luvin'. Some touch ups...
  4. Ah, I see. L - C - R setup for both of us. Interesting.
  5. If you find another set with a finish you like, I could use the oak to set up an all CF3 surround... *<;o)
  6. I would suggest that you replace the resistor as well. They aren’t that expensive, and yours looks a little toasty in the wire lead in area. Look at your pic, and then look at wvu’s. It’s the long white ceramic piece. It appears to have gotten hotter than normal...
  7. They sure do! What finish did you get, I’m curious...

It is lovingly referred to as the Gaytona in watch circles...
  9. Here's something you don't see every day. It looks like he has a large number of these things, and just over $200 with shipping for each. https://www.ebay.com/itm/EV-Electro-Voice-DH2MT-High-Frequency-Compression-Drivers-with-Horn-DH2-4MT-/173521744525?oid=123785849941 Individual drivers, $40 https://www.ebay.com/itm/EV-Electro-Voice-DH2MT-Compression-Driver-DH2-4MT/173554149219?hash=item2868a22763:g:fvkAAOSwtAtbks5p

@Schu, would this be the Rolex you are talking about? *<;o) (Yes, I'm aware that 126710BLRO is the Pepsi bezel GMT Master II)
  11. They are from 1972. Not from the 1940's. They are the 145th and 146th units built that year. The K in the serial number equates to the year. They are overpriced by more than half. Especially with all the "Home Improvements" some wannabe cabinet maker did on them. $1700 - $1800 would be my guess as to value. We have a nice guy here that tracks sold prices for Klipsch Heritage speakers, @wvu80 and hopefully he will chime in. YEAR OF MANUFACTURE (1955 THROUGH 1983 ONLY) A = 1955-63* F = 1968 L = 1973 S = 1978 B = 1963-64* G = 1969 M = 1974 T = 1979 C = 1965 H = 1970 N = 1975 U = 1980 D = 1966 J = 1971 P = 1976 W = 1981 E = 1967 K = 1972 R = 1977 X = 1982

Unless your watch starts to run significantly faster or slower, you don't need to service it. The oils that are used nowadays last for 20 years or more. I would not hesitate to buy a Grand Seiko. The movement blows any Swiss / ETA offering out of the water. Only the watchmakers who spend 6 months or a year building a single watch are putting out any movements that are significantly better than the high end Seiko.
  13. @CECAA850 @dtel Gentlemen, Please try the picture hosting technique in my signature below. It's fast, easy, and completely unlimited. Users here can host and post as many pictures as they like, with no size restrictions. If you start asking people to use this method, you won't have the problems associated with picture host on this website. That is the way to many headaches.
  14. If you would post a picture of your serial number sticker on the back, that would be helpful. Normally the wood type and finish are encoded there. If the finish is lacquer, you can buff the area and feather in some touch up spray if needed. If the finish is oil, you can use four aught steel wool to smooth it back down and work in more oil of the same type.

It’s now illegal to use waterproof at all when marking or marketing a watch.

It’s simply a comfort item. Anyone with large hands appreciates the extra bit of room while taking them on or off.

That they did, too right. I bet the sweep is glorious on your watch. Did it come with the crocodile strap? I dig all timepieces (Okay, maybe not AP or Richard Mille so much). I've been collecting a few of the new Bulova 292khz chronographs. If you haven't tried one, you should. Inexpensive enough that you don't mind using it as a beater, and the movement in them is awesome.

Wow. Just wow. That is not an inexpensive watch. The build quality is out of this world. If you've never seen one before, it's worth googling.
  19. That's a 6 to 7 hour drive from central Florida. You're right, a bit too far. Check out a bar called "Howl at the Moon", a dueling piano joint. My wife played with them for years.
  20. Want a nice pair of HWO Heresy 'E' models, while you are in Florida? I might have to go get the Chorus II's.
  21. It appears to me that you have another issue besides the crack. Literally beside, that is. Take a look at the bottom ring, just to the left of the crack. That looks to me like the cone is trying to come off, when compared to the look of the right side. If you attempt to glue it, I would lay a bead around that bottom ring. (Why not try? It's already toast anyway...)
  22. Here's one you definitely should check out.
