Yes the grills can absolutely be done. I have a set of Forte II with all stock components, and I did all new veneer and constructed new grills just as Sam described in a lambswool linen fabric that I sourced locally. I even found a guy to make a "Forte" script badge, milled from aluminum on a CNC. So my Forte II...now look like Forte III...and I love them!

Bump - how about $50 for the pair + shipping?

I have a pair of 15" passives that I pulled from a pair of Forte II for sale. One passive has a small hole in the surround that should be an easy fix, while the second one is in great condition with no issues. I invested a great deal of time and energy updating my pair of Forte II with new veneer, stands, grills, badges, etc., and instead of repairing the one passive, I decided to splurge and put in new passives that I purchased directly from Klipsch (those used in the Forte III). I saved all the packing materials and boxes that Klipsch used for the new pair, that I can reused, to ensure these arrive safely and intact for any interested buyers. I'll add pics later today, and am happy to field any questions. Price is $70 for the pair + shipping from 64082.
