  1. You need to contact Klipsch support directly. They’ll have you verify ownership of your Fortes and get you sorted out.
  2. https://www.stereophile.com/content/klipsch-la-scala-al5-loudspeaker Alex Halberstadt loves their dynamics, soundstage, and engaging presentation but comments on how they need a large room and deep bass is absent.
  3. Forte III tweeters, midrange drivers, and crossovers pulled from my speakers during the IV upgrade process. They all work great. Now they're packed and ready to ship: yours for $275 shipped CONUS. Payment via cash.app, Zelle, or check. I'm in Atlanta, GA.
  4. I used a speaker polarity test app on my iPhone and verified that @OO1 is correct on polarity for my drivers. I posted a picture earlier in this thread showing a mark on one of my tweeters—that mark ended up being where the ground wire got connected 😬 Trust but verify!
  5. No, only one has a mark like that. The installation instructions say "The tweeter positive terminal will be marked with a (+) symbol, a dot of paint or a colored sticker" so I thought this might be the dot of paint. But odd that only one is marked in this fashion, so maybe it isn't? I've installed mine the way @OO1 suggested and asked Klipsch support for confirmation. Would be easy if this was a woofer: connect a battery and feel which way the cone moves!
  6. Connections are obvious on that pic. It's the mark on one of the drivers that came in my kit (pic below) that makes it a head scratcher.
  7. Has anyone else gotten this kit? Did you have obvious polarity markings on your HF drivers? I ask because one of my drivers appeared to have a polarity mark (white dot), the other one didn't, and that mark contradicts the wiring picture from @OO1.
  8. Interesting—on the driver that's marked in my set (link), the dot corresponds to the terminal with the black wire in your picture 🤔 In your picture, I'd say that both terminals are on the right. I'm clearly missing something.
  9. I feel a bit better looking at the other driver—I'm not seeing a similar mark on it 😉
  10. Thanks for looking! Here's a view from the top. Is the little dot on the left the (+) mark? I didn't notice it until I hit the terminals with a flashlight to make this picture!
  11. Here's a picture of the driver. I'm unclear how you're associating left and right. Turn it so the leads are at 12 o'clock, then green is the left terminal and black the right? Thanks!
  12. I got in a pair of Forte IV upgrade kits, PN #1070334. Installation is going fine, but I can't find polarity markings on the HF drivers. Is there a way to distinguish which one gets the green (+) vs black (-) wire? It's labeled: K-107-TI W/HORN
