  1. Received replacement AMP 2 days ago. I have used it for 5 hours now and the bass is rock solid! I have also noticed this AMP doesnt get warm at all; to the point you cant tell if you are touching the sub OR amp! The last 2 would be warm to the touch after 30 mins. I did notice while replacing this AMP and comparing it to the old one, 1 capacitor is larger.
  2. GREAT NEWS! I decided to submit a warranty request to see if I could buy a replacement AMP and/or get this one repaired. Looks like they will be sending me a warranty replacement! Great customer service! Now I know why I have spent so many paychecks on their products (THX computer 2.1 setup, earbuds, 2 Bluetooth portable speakers and 2 R-10b soundbars for family members);
  3. Which sucks because this sub is just out of warranty, and the replacement AMP is only 7 months old! Maybe I'll try to sell it as is and upgrade to the R-115SW I wish there was a way to take it directly to the factory and do a "trade in and/or trade up program" Since I only live 2 hours from the warehouse.
  4. Came home today. Tried a sub cable, bass was good for maybe 15 mins. To the point I couldn't even tell the sub was on. I had to do a double take a see if the LED light was on infront (it was). I then proceeded to turn my receiver up, got to -30DB and the sub just turned off! So it looks like the 2nd AMP may be toast. Any other thoughts? Testing? Also does anyone know the warranty period on replacement AMPs?
  5. Thanks for the response. I hope this AMP heat sink isn't going out, I have only used it for 7-8 months. I checked, no dust bunnies in the sub/vent or box. Please also note I have this sub directly plugged into the wall outlet (not a surge protector). I have also used 2 different outlets and have the gain on the sub set to LFE, phase 0, gain set to 1 notch below middle (some would call this 11 o'clock position), I am also using the Klipsch wireless kit.
  6. Over the past 3-4 weeks I have noticed my sub has become "weak" sounding. I maybe use my home theater system 7-10 hours a week and recently had a warranty claim on my AMP for my sub in January this year (2018). The symptoms at that time were different; the sub would work for an hour then start to cut out. Over 3-5 weeks it went from an hour down to 5 mins. I did a warranty claim and Klipsch said it was a bad AMP and replaced it since It was just 1 month before my warranty expired. Fast forward to now, I have been noticing lack of bass response from my sub. I get home turn everything on bass sounds GREAT, strong and thumps hard! After about 25-35 mins the bass starts to diminish. I can turn the volume up on my receiver but it doesn't make a difference. This happens if I listen to music or watch TV. It also happens on multiple inputs (Bluetooth, Blu-ray, cable/sat or game/xbox). I only have time to watch about an hour of TV a day so at that point I turn everything off, come home from work the next day and notice the same results. I have also noticed over the 3-4 weeks my sub has just turned off on its own; maybe 1-2 times; not while in use but when I am at work and no one is home. (I have the switch on the back set to "ON" and not auto). No front LED light is on, and turning on my receiver doesn't not kick on my sub, the only way to get it working again is for my to either remove power cord from the wall or back of sub. The back AMP plate is warm to the touch but isn't hot. So I am here looking for any answers or help; below is my setup. Marantz SR5010 Klipsch RP-240S Klipsch RP-440C Klipsch RP-250F and of course Klipsch R-112SW
