  1. Anyone have another zip cord source seeing the Home Depot stuff turns green ? Also considering these after research and advice here, any opinions ? https://www.knukonceptz.com/search-results/sp/kord-ultra-flex-12-gauge-speaker-wire/ https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=2817 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Cerrowire-50-ft-12-2-Black-Stranded-Low-Voltage-Landscape-Lighting-Wire-241-1602B/303289057 https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/speaker-wire/supra-classic-2.5-speaker-wire-per-foot-13-awg/ https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/speaker-wire/supra-classic-1.6/bulk-cable-per-foot-15-awg/
  2. It looks like its about $36 + tax for 50 foot roll of 14 gauge, $39 for 12 gauge (cerrowire brand made in usa) at HD, is it really cheaper than bulk zip cord by the foot ?
  3. Is Zip Cord the brown or black "lamp style power cord" sold in bulk at HD or Loews ? Cannot seem to locate it on there websites. Do they still have it ?
  4. It would be really cool to compare caps, just wish I had more patience and time to let things breakin rather that just listening but with winter coming may just do. My 78' Cornwall have Sonicaps and sound ok, perhaps a little too bright sometimes ? I have a set of original oil (non leaking) caps here, and have been curious about the JEM caps.
  5. @Audible Nector was speaking about an alternative screw he successfully used, thats why I was asking him for the part number. Thank you.
  6. I'm playing jazz mostly at moderate volume and can feel air escaping from mine in the back when there are deeper notes. YMMV
  7. If you might have the part # for those screws that might be very helpful. Cheers I'm playing jazz mostly at moderate volume and can feel air escaping from mine in the back when there are deeper notes. YMMV
  8. I'm getting some air escaping from the backs of my 78 Cornwall I. Would you seal them with a window strip insulation, something else ? Cheers
  9. Dedicated to @Allan Songer
  10. Hope everyone is well, been just listening mostly through covid here. Do you think the kits will squeeze more out of 78" Cornwalls or will these always be a little more duller that say CWII's even when updated ? I just hate to get too bright having older ears. Anyone tried crossgrading from Crites kits to the JEM btw ?
  11. Starting a few of my smaller Cornwall I projects soon. Much of the Velcro on my Cornwall I/Grille's needs to be refreshed. Whats is the best way to go here ? Just carefully and simply re-glue the old stuff ? (In which case which glue is best to use ?), use new Velcro ? (if so, is there a good heavy duty Velcro on Amz to order ?), or is is better to switch to 3M Dual Lock or is this too secure and might damage the grille material when pulling off ? Thanks for any thoughts, advice.
  12. There deleted now btw, just to save everyone the click. 2 pair of Cornwall (I & IV) , and 2 pair of Forte (III & IV) in the last month, very rare up there.
  13. 2 weeks and no reply here. Not a good look.
