  1. I came across these old speakers recently and want to know what they are worth or more information about them."

    •

"  They are an entry level example of the highly prized Klipsch Heritage line of speakers which are highly acclaimed for good reason. Assuming no grills or risers, 350.00 seems like a fair value estimate considering cabinet condition.

  2. Due to the negative effects on our planet I have been trying to limit my consumption of beef for some time now.

Nearly 15% of greenhouse gas emissions globally come from livestock, with the vast majority of those traced back to beef specifically, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Cows are 20 times less efficient to raise than beans and roughly three times less efficient than poultry and pork.      https://www.npr.org/2021/04/27/991247520/epicurious-ditches-beef-in-a-move-it-calls-pro-planet

I love the taste of beef and find synthetic substitutes to be completely unsatisfying. I opt for ground turkey or chicken for the most part. I try to keep my diet as plant based as I can because I think its healthier and more earth friendly but  there is no way I could ever go vegan.

  3. Some great productions on that list. When I audition audio equipment my "go to" CDs are DSOTM (of course), Cowboy Junkies: Trinity sessions, Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny's Beyond the Missouri Sky, and sometimes I'll add Aja or Rumours depending on my mood.

For in home Demos I turn to my vinyl  collection and selections can be all over the place depending upon what my focus is but Abbey Road and DSOTM are always included.

  4. Got vaxxed a couple days ago. Very simple and painless procedure. In and out in 20 minutes. It was the Pfizer so they booked my second shot in the same visit.

Only symptoms were fatigue/grogginess. Got 10 hours of sleep that night and still felt like I was sleep walking the next day.

I am so ready to get this stupid pandemic behind us!

  5. Those are 2 really nice offerings Joe. I find myself drooling over your stuff on a regular basis. Would be hard pressed to choose between the two but would lean toward the Cochrane amp because of its uniqueness. It reminds me of one of his "cake pan" builds.

  6. 3k seems high for that age. La Scala are in pretty hi demand but personally I would not go beyond 1500- 2000 depending on condition and upgrades if any. The market you are in can have an effect as well as shipping is problematic.

Thank you so much. What would you offer on those?

I would ask for more pictures and full background before considering an offer. In the single pic they appear clean, but for that price he must be looking for a seriously motivated buyer.

I thought it was "... 'xcuse me, while I kiss this guy."

As for Gerry and the Pacemakers, I remember the song but have no idea the real name.

I'll offer one of my own anyway. Janis Joplin singing Kris Kristofferson. What are the real lyrics:

"Bobby thumbed a diesel Dan, just before it rained,

wrote a song on the way to New Orleans."

Bobby thumbed a diesel down, just before it rained
It rode us all the way to New Orleans ... My favorite JJ tune!
