  1. "Out of curiosity, what type of speakers are you replacing the RF-7s & RB-75s with?" I plan to replace my RF-7s with RB-75s. My main problem is actually the front speakers. My surrounds will be in-ceiling so my RS-7s will not used anymore. I used my system for music 90% of the time. I don't like the sound of in-wall for main speakers, however there's just not enough space for the rear-ported RF-7s (I tried it, and don't like it). I also have two KSW-12 in my garage, I think (I can't remember where I put it, should be one of those big boxes), not used since 1999.
  2. "Where are you located?" Brea, CA., about 35 miles east of Los Angeles.
  3. I might be interested in selling my 7's, pick-up only, since I don't have the time and manpower to ship. The Bose 321 is in my bedroom, actually not that bad, it was given as a gift (together with a Nikon D70 digital camera and a Canon Photo printer) by the company where I work.
  4. Hi, I would like to barter my maple RF-7s with maple or cherry RB-75s with stand. I moved to a new house and have no place for the rear-ported floorstanders. I have an RSW-15 and RSW-12 as well, and would like to have 1 good inwall subwoofer instead. All of these equipments are not being used right now. For the time being I am using a Bose 3-2-1 GS, given as a gift during our house-warming.
  5. Thanks a lot. I dropped off my film at Costco and I picked up a new Olympus digital camera. I already took some few pictures but it seems like the software is not detecting the camera on the USB port. At some point it gave an 'Invalid Port address.. blah, blah, blah' error, then it died. That's it for now. I'll wait for my Costco CD.
  6. Update: Klipsch dealer will replace the dented RF-7 woofer. Kenratboy, I'm sorry don't know exactly the answer to your last question (you probably know the answer to your question better than I do). The projector is Runco. Thanks.
  7. I am really not worried too much on the aesthetics point of view, as I don't plan to remove the grills. I'm concerned about the effect on the speaker performance. Right now I can't do some testing as my system is unhooked and unplugged. A contractor is making some preparation for the design and construction of a customized entertainment center (made of maple wood) and a built-in DLP projector (at approx. cost <> 26K). I'll post some pictures soon. Thanks.
  8. An update: The klipsch dealer actually dropped off the black RSW-15 at my place early in the evening (apparently a late shipment has arrived). This thing is HUUUGE. My cousin and a neighbor made all the connections and setup. I can probably take care now of the fine tuning (of course with your help guys). Question: At the back of the RSW-15 is a toggle switch labeled LOWPASS ENABLE / DISABLE (LFE MODE). What would I choose? LOWPASS is set at 80 and POLARITY 0. The sub cable is split via a Y cable and connects to both inputs of the RSW. My receiver?. Oh dont' ask me yet, I'm looking at the users manual right now. Anyway it already sounded good. Again, thanks.
  9. I owned a 2000 Range Rover HSE 4WD wagon in java black color. This vehicle is simply awesome! I only have 6000 miles on it. Moreoften, I carpooled with a friend to work.
  10. Guess what? The back of my Range Rover is now full of stuff. I purchased RC7,RS7, NAD CD/DVD player, tons of cables and a leather Berkline Shiatsu Massager (yes, my Klipsch dealer sells them too). I am just waiting for someone to help me unload the massager. Anyway, I lived with my mom and an older sister, so no boys to carry heavy stuff. I plan to post pictures when everything is done. Note: RSW15 is not in stock, but said I would be getting it this week. This message has been edited by ladyklipschfan on 03-27-2002 at 06:24 PM
  11. I just called the Klipsch dealer where I purchased the RF-7 and KSW-12. The dealer said I can return the KSW-12 and buy the RSW-15 instead. So I will end up with 1 sub , RSW-15. I will also buy today the center and surround speakers. I would probably just follow whatever the Klipsch dealer's suggestion (on center and surround). I already called my nice neighbor if he can help me with the speaker setup later. I never thought I would be able to "build" my music system (now hometheater) this fast! My system will be: Marantz SR9200 RF-7 RSW15 ??? (center) ??? (surround) Again, thanks guys. This message has been edited by ladyklipschfan on 03-27-2002 at 02:23 PM
  12. Wow! I am really happy and thrilled with all your response. Since I was a child I really love music and eventually learn to appreciate good sound. When my co-workers learn that I ordered a $2,500.00 receiver (I believe Marantz SR9200, whatever that is), they said I'm stupid. A guy co-worker said, for the same amount I could have bought a nice and superior Bose system. I never really told him that I already have at least 3 Bose Lifestyle systems returned (after spending some money for someone to assemble). It's very ironic, but a guy from a Bose store told me that if I want good music system, first I need to buy a good "receiver". That's where I got the idea. I am ignorant but I assumed a $2,500 receiver should at least give me something. I plan to have a complete system in two weeks. Thanks again.
